Yeah that's annoying and the ieds are a pain in the ass on a lot of maps. Also I'm not sure why they run counterstrike maps, they're horrible but everyone always wants to play them. In most aspects it's pretty vanilla, I just don't get why they have the real weapon names and all, just makes things confusing.

Good enough, nights are quite dark, but you can still see movement and lightly illuminated places, which is just about right for me. I also just noticed that imgur did some fucked up compression even though my [URL="https://help.imgur.com/hc/en-us/articles/201424706-How-does-Imgur-compress-my-images-"]100% jpegs were < 5MB[/URL]. The originals are still pretty dark, but the dark bits are not compressed this super ugly, maybe I'll reupload them once I find a non-compressing service that isn't down every 5 minutes.

Well the FoV is kinda alright for screenshots?
And default FoV in the game sucks. Changed it to 80/90 to myself (1st and 3rd person) but feel like trying 90/100. 110 is too much imho.
Also still haven't got around to changing the shitty vertical mouse sens. argh.

Recently started an Ironman playthrough as Japan. Started first of all by unifying Japan, forming complete centralisation and then firing up total control over the Nippon trade route.
I decided to declare war on Korea, my rival, as I already had an embargo on them but they had too much influence in the trade route for my liking. I declared war and launched an attack on their fortress. Due to being inexperienced in naval warfare and transporting troops I fell short and my entire army and fleet were decimated, and they fortified around my country. Three of Korea's allies joined their cause while Jianxou, my ally, denied mine.
The map below shows how I regained control over the region, from a losing warscore of -56% and an army/fleet of 0, in a war of 4 against 1
The red dots signify the enemy navies, blockading my ports and annihilating any ships of mine that left port. The red line signifies the blockaded ports.
The green dots signify the second movement. Wherein I secretly built up a large navy in ports all throughout the country and focused on building the Imperial Army in Kyoto. I bided my time for years until the enemy vessels to the south side moved around to the front, and then snook the south fleet around the north summit, as the green arrow shows. Meanwhile, the army moved into a strategic porting position. Once the south fleet had reached reasonable fighting distance to assist the still-garrisoned north fleet, our navies combined and we proceeded to make timber of their ships.
The yellow arrow is the quick route into Korea we used to launch the counter-counter-offensive, after about 40 years of waiting. Korea's allies sent me peace requests and completely abandoned Korea. The war finally became solely Korea vs Japan and I finally had the edge.
