The experience of doing an activity that you will most likely never do in real life. The purpose of video games. I enjoy Euro Truck sim, as well as farming sims too. They are nice slow-paced, relaxing games where you can do something that you won't in real life. Nothing wrong with that.

It's the game that taught me Demo First, Or no Purchase. No longer do I give two shits about previews released by publishers or the devs. I don't care about E3 showcases anymore, and I'm skeptical of every release. It's terrible and nothing like OFP

Witcher 2 has steam cloud support, but for some reason it's never kept my saves if I had to reinstall for some odd reason.

Any other combat tips? Most things i can fight alright, but enemies that do a flurry like Drowners can catch me for some good damage sometimes.

Strafe a lot, only roll when you're feeling overwhelmed and need to reset your position. I don't pay attention to the hp bar/name stuff glowing, I just observe the body movements the enemies give me. Most monsters love to roll back before attacking, so you should always strafe the very moment the monster pounces on your ass. If you can learn how to strafe properly, the game gets easier, but it's still challenging as fuck, especially for me since I've only ever played on Death March. The only enemies that give me real problems even now are fucking Wraith's, I fucking hate Wraith's. All the way back from Witcher 1 they were a pain in the ass, and now they're even more of assholes than they ever were before, fuck Wraiths.

The FOV is stuck at 65, but it generally get a bad rep that is undeserved. While I'd rather play Arma 3, I'd say it's worth it, at least for the coop. Can't speak so much for SP and how your AI squad behaves. If you get it from the codemasters humble bundle right now, it can only be worth it. And if you want to play coop with someone, there's a direct IP option, so no need to use Evolve/Tunngle/Hamachi.

Of course, it also depends on what you're expecting. It's a bit like the original Ghost Recon game, but more linear. Do not expect it to be open world.

id say the operation flashpoint 3 dragoon rising with friends is fun, especially if you want more arcadey experience than war-autism arma 3. Also dragoon rising works shitloads better than arma 3.

we were playing with these hong kong chinese fuckers who kept team killing everyone out in the woods because their latency prevented them from seeing the floating name bubbles so everyone just had to stay on top of the hill because the second we'd leave we'd get teamkilled by ching and chong
anyway fools road is awesome. the only drawback is that the militiants and the russians look way too similar

IIRC they had a pretty good reason for that.
Also the "no smoke" "no atmosphere" stuff is bs. There's plenty of smoke in certain areas and the atmosphere is amazing. Also the sky looks beautiful at times as well. Sure it doesn't look like the 2013 footage, but it comes very close to that if you're playing it maxed out.
I'm playing it on fucking medium-low settings and it's still one of the best looking games I've seen.

iirc the 2013 footage was on the witcher 2 engine build and before the new consoles were released so cdpr didn't have much of a choice but to "downgrade".
the only thing that bugs me about witcher 3 is that there's sometimes [i]too[/i] much color and it makes everything look like ass
a game that does color amazingly is far cry 4. if witcher 3 had neutral floral coloration yet vivid character colors it'd look really fresh, but instead you have to suffer looking at muddy looking watercolor grass because the colors are so blown out that it looks funky in any lighting condition that isn't broad daylight

If you've ever been to Skellige, the abundance of color isn't a bad thing at all. Hell it seems like a lot of people are getting reshade packs to make the game not colorful whatsoever, perhaps everyone got extremely used to the lack of colors in the majority of games last gen. :v:

Seriously though, I tried out many sweetfx and reshade packs and ended up frustrated that all they did was remove the majority of the color for the game and I lost a good 5 frames or a slight bit more because of it.
