I never realized how awful the "gore" was in TW3. Weightless limbs flying without gravity and bodies cut clean in half (?) that suddenly turn red and switch clothes.

Really? I've played the game on ultra and don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful game by any standard considering it's open world. But games like The Order, or the newest Battlefront have some insanely beautiful graphics that atleast IMO looks way better than anything I saw in TW3.
Been messing around with Rockstar editor on GTA V for PS4, it's great how you can turn normal gameplay into an action scene.

Eh, it doesn't bother me as much since it's more of a stylistic thing, kind of like Tarantino films with gore being extremely over the top.

Hell I even noticed some obvious Tarantino references in the game, there's even side quests that have names from some of the movies or plots or scenes followed something from some of Tarantino's movies, pretty sure Kill Bill was the most referenced out of the bunch .

For me it feels like Magicka + Dawn of War 2-ish, but more to the Magicka side. It can be great fun if you have 3 friends to play with it. There are also moments when its not fun since you can team kill each other or destroy called in supplies. Me and my mates went with the normal version and I'd say its worth it. There's progression with unlocking levels and unlocking new supplies with each planet so I can see at least 20 hours of content and probably more.

However I was always interested when you said you modded the game and the damage, with more dismemberment&realistic damage from sword swinging.
It must make the gameplay tad more cooler, so I definitely see the value in your Witcher "set-up" there, with max graphics plus gameplay enhancing mods. Good shit.
