I decided to play a fairly different run at Rome Total War by playing the Getae, who are basically Dacians, who are also basically ancient Romanians/Ukrainians/Moldovians. They do not start off in a good place. They get a shitty minor settlement, with only one friendly neighbour, a shitty economy, and pretty bad starting units, except for General's bodyguard and the fact they get early archers. Archers are fun. The Dacians in my campaign do not play fair.
