New DiRT game ahoy.
It's absolutely incredible. It's a hardcore sim this time around. I'd discuss it more but this isn't really the topic for it. Do we have a rally/sim racing megathread anywhere that I can talk about it?

EDIT:
Some of these conditions are frighteningly hard.

I didnt even know they made another one

Neither did I. They were teasing a new game for years and suddenly it came out on early access today.
is there a topic for it yet? gonna have my wheel out tomorrow for iRacing as I actually own some of the tracks in the star mazda series this week, and was gonna try it out if it was any good
if it's as arcade-y as the others and doesn't play well with a wheel then i won't bother with it
I wish I was even decent at this game...

As far as I'm concerned it's a full on sim. It feels almost too hard to play with a controller, even moreso than a GTR/Assetto Corsa game.
Where's the mark 2 escort though?

Well right now it's with me in Monte Carlo.

I also think this game might be sponsored by Nvidia or something.

Is that dirt: rally? the back end of that car is looking really outdated - flat textures on the taillights, lazy ass texture on the spoiler amongst other things
if thats dirt:rally it seems a step backwards from dirt 3
pretty sure it's using entirely the same assets as previous games as it was more of a side project than a normal release, hence the fact that there wasn't any marketing done they literally announced and released it today

It is, but I'd been playing DiRT 3 itself a shitload lately and it looks exactly the same. It's definitely the same model so no improvements, but it hasn't got worse.

Forgot to restart shadowplay to let it detect my changed audio device so no sound unfortunately
so that halo online thing is fully hacked and working for NA?
There's no "official" servers yet but I'm using the OracleNet VPN(has servers for US East/West and EU) and it works pretty well
If you don't feel like downloading separate shit you might wanna wait for 0.4.6 which might come in a couple of days, it's gonna have its own master server and built-in server browser without the need for a VPN as well as other features like armor customization and saving forge variants

i always kind of figured this thread was also "GGD General Discussion" whenever such a thread was needed.
Hey, conversation is media.

What in the world is all that awful blur around the screen?

Just one of those games where you walk around and listen to dialogue but it is very pretty.

I don't want to start a thread to ask for this, but I'm looking for a game thread that used to be in here. A bunch of people on FP made a FPS game where you planned stuff out beforehand with drawings and stuff, and it involved breaching doors and the like.
The style was a rather pixelly thing, I recall there being a fan and some electronic models.

Nothing like blur[/QUOTE]
That is not an appropriate application of blur :v:

Sounds like Doorkickers to me.

It's called Due Process I think, should be a therad around here somewhere.
Its Due Process. Doorkickers is great, but exclusively top down and not made by anyone from the forums as far as I'm aware. Due Process however is made in part by someone from the forums, and is an FPS.
