How to throw away what should have been an easy second place win.

[B]What happened while driving:[/B]
I saw that he was losing grip, but I figured he would recover. He didn’t recover. My plan was to just turn inside into the corner so that I would miss him and avoid the off track penalty. Unfortunately, I was already on the edge of grip maintaining my line and by the time I realize this it’s already too late.

[B]What I should have done:[/B]
I saw the that a guy that’s already a lap down, who I have nothing to gain by racing, and should’ve slowed down much earlier as a caution to give someone I shouldn’t trust some leeway. If it got the point where he was already spinning out and I can’t turn any tighter because there’s no more grip, then I should have taken the 1x and gone off into the grass.

It’s better to get a 1x and lose only a couple seconds than to get a 4x, total your car, and not finish the race with only 2 laps to go.

I should pick up a free trial for that some time. Do you have to use clutch manual, or can you use sequential, or does it depend on whether or not the car you are driving actually has it or not?

Use the code PR-BLANCPAIN2015 when registering and you get 3 months free. I don't know how much longer it'll last because it probably shouldn't even be active anymore as it is. 3 months completely free is as good as you can possibly get. I already had it nice with the 3 months for $5 thing.

You can use basically any shifting pattern you want, the game supports all of it. I don't think it'll let you use an H-pattern shift for sequential gearboxes though.

my only real complaint about the class d races is late model and sk dont get enough participation to make a split and they get top loaded with really good class a drivers, its really hard just to finish 10th and your iRating plummets, maybe it was like that because i only started racing them on the last day of the season though

track racing i tend to just use whatever shifter the actual car uses, racing skip barber - sequential, no clutch, just blip the throttle. spec racer ford I use the full H shifter/w clutch, star mazda full sequential, etc etc

Already used the totally free one. It's alright though, since I'd rather not be spending any money on things that aren't bills or food for the next month anyway.

Because EA has exclusivity over it. To licence Porsche you don't contact them directly like any other manufacturer, you have to go through EA first. And to go through EA means going through millions and millions of dollars.

Yup. 10 car expansion pack, and apparently Forza 6 will have Porsche but not at launch. People are thinking one of the conditions of having Porsche was that they don't feature Porsche at the same time as the NFS reboot, which would explain why it wouldn't be at launch.

well sfm and gmod stop motion machinima aren't technically gameplay, but if you were to create machinima within a game that doesn't cater to machinima it's just really chopped up and heavily edited gameplay.

SFM and Gmod stuff is fine, but if you make something that is dumb or otherwise unlikable then don't expect to be very popular. (As with any other bad content, really.)

the crysis 1 north korean AI had the reaction to stealth down pretty good. it was actually manageable and quite fun to do stuff like cloaking and decloaking to slowly pick off a group of enemies one by one without alerting everyone. that predator-style gameplay always kept me coming back to play.

unfortunately crysis 2 and 3 replaced the north koreans with near superhumans who could communicate telepathically and drop you in 3 shots. it wasn't really fun to fight them at all
