dude this has happened to me so many times. SO many times. Like stalker is one of those games where when you buy a gun or repair it and mod it up so it's got really high condition and a high cap magazine and all of the right mods you want it's so worth it, but until you get to that point with the gun you're comfortable with you're pinching rubles and hoping to god the guys you are fighting have good gear you can loot off of their bodies, and when you find the shit you want there's always some bizarre circumstance that prevents you from getting it. Or you do get it and it turns out to all be for naught anyway
Like one time I was at a duty checkpoint outside the freedom base on SoC and after a zombie invasion on the checkpoint all of the duty guys died. Naturally I could go and loot all of their shit; high-tier rifles, exosuits... you name it, they had it. Since the duty base is one map away I just ran over, dropped off all of my shit and came back to gather up all of the gear I could to go back and sell it, but by the time I got back all of the bodies were completely ransacked. Of course when I start attacking the freedom base everybody has like 3-4 rifles on their persons

Just start with the first one, ShoC, with the ZRP for bugs.
The HUD came with the mod I'm using, a russian mod called into the mist (and spectrum project, it has two names for some reason)

This trend of ring'd bokeh is surprisingly annoying to me. I remember BF4 had the same aesthetic and it doesn't make sense, physically.

I stay in my previous opinion: what little good this game does is negated by the terrible gameplay design and the hollow story
I'm currently playing the first DLC, the Assignment, which is actually far better because you don't fight any monster and try to sneak past them. You know, like a SURVIVAL HORROR GAME

Best one i had, its either that or no DoF.
Wished i had a Gaussian Blur DoF shader. (No bokeh shapes)
