Been watching a few of these sim flights of some of you, and that's some pretty HC shit.
I only ever played the semi-realistic mode (hopping between 1st and 3rd) which I liked, and arcade which I hated, and simulator mode which I sucked at.
I was tempted to sink $20 into the game and get myself some super heavy bomber with good crew&gunners, but ultimately I didn't.

if you're cheap, grab a 60+ fps webcam and try out FaceTrackNoIR. it's nowhere near as good as real IR tracking, but honestly it works pretty well. i used it in iracing and set it up so that the extremes of my head movement would move the camera, rather than it always being in a sort of free look mode because it would occasionally spaz out due to the approximated tracking
I use a ps3 eye camera that I got on amazon for like £5, paid £2 for a driver for it and spent a while tweaking with the FaceTrackNoIR settings and it works damn well for the price

you can also get open source IR tracking software, mod a ps3 eye camera to only see infra-red light (i.e put a piece of camera film over it) and glue 3 infra red LEDs to a baseball cap to get almost exactly the same thing as TrackIR but for a fraction of the price
There's also a way to use your (smart)phone as a facetracker, with a software called OpenTrack. But you have to bind it to your head somehow, and your phone has to have a gyroscope if you want to have all the axis you want to use.

Many things can be said about RnL, patching it to death isn't one of them. For the record, these realisms aren't about roleplay or anything like that, they're just about using teamwork to win the match. It's pretty effective, there are team leaders and squad leaders.

You mean the transition to OB engine (from alpha 4 to beta 1.0)? I only recall RnL getting better with each update. Did they fix some bug you liked or something?
I always thought those realism units were mainly about roleplaying, you should know since you were in one. Either way, they aren't really around anymore (except for one)

Well, in this case the M60-E4 is really awesome because it has a "1.0" first-shot multiplier, which means that there is zero penalty to fire in bursts of 2-3 shots.
In most other guns, the first shot will have a higher recoil than the following shots which mean you're encouraged to do longer bursts.

Battlefront 2 is intense not to mention it has the units both empire and clone wars, and even units right between those.
