Wearing helmets and closed suits will definitely slow, and eventually virtually eliminate the ambient process. It ties nicely into another new feature we're announcing this week.
The "Press G to wear your god damn helmet" feature? :v:
So basically [del]Redux 2[/del] Wormfood at the beginning of the game will have a invisible XX:XX until dead timer in form of radiation everywhere?

It's not invisible, you'll know you're slowly dying (eventually).
are there any heavily shielded "safe zones"?
are there any heavily shielded "safe zones"?
If there is, I imagine it might be places like the Scientist's Bunker. Actually, that might be the only real safe place.
Guys I am completely stuck, I am playing misery mod and just ran out of ammo, food and med and I am surrounded with no way out.
Guess its time for a new game.

Will there be special radiated areas where you really cannot pass through without really good protection so you have to get really good equipment?
(Kinda like how much rads you get from CNPP in shoc if you go for the wish granter?)
So. I tried STALKER again after 3 years.

That's how I would think it'd work. The starting areas aren't too badly irradiated as long as you stay out of specific spots, but as you go deeper into the Zone the ambient radiation gets worse on top of having hotspots as well.
Is there some place I can download Misery besides ModDB? I'm getting 10 Kb/s from them, but my internet speed is fine otherwise.

I was downloading AA2 from them at 14KB/s. Not sure if it's because they can't afford the bandwidth or just some artificial limit. I wish we had alternatives like Bittorrent.
Congratulations Beacon! It seems your hardwork has paid off!

Man, I wish someone would make a Freeplay Start-a-like mod for LA.

I'm very happy with #3 again, but #1 would have been nice! Couldn't have done it without Riki, Etcetera, Bottswana and BologniusMaximus though :)
It would be cool if an anomaly detector and geiger counter were not by default included in your magic PDA, and you instead had to buy and equip them.
Also if you are revamping radiation to be a lot more prevelant, you should make it so that a lot of tank/APC wrecks are more radioactive, since the tracks will pick up radioactive particles.

Having more kinds of detectors for both radiation and anomalies would be cool, passive ones that're just the default anomaly beep and ticking and handheld ones that're more accurate/directional so you can find hotspots without walking into them.
But making cover radioactive is annoying, there's a lot of places in the vanilla game that does that and the only reason it makes things harder is when you have to use antirad from your inventory during a fight and get shot by someone obscured by the menu.

I do wish you could upgrade certain parts like the geiger counter, for example the upgraded version would also indicate where the radiation is located and would also start buzzing earlier.
I also wish you were able to have multiple clothing slots like head/torso/legs.

Sorry Beac but #1 and #2 places are permanently reserved for Misery and Complete.
[sp]jk. tear em apart, bby[/sp]
The ultimate mod trio
Wormfüüd, Call of Chernobyl and Vanilla+
Misery and Complete are gonna have a big problem keeping their positions up

Complete is only popular because people are idiots.
So as of late i realised GSC World is back in business, do they still hold the full license to STALKER? If so, is there still a chance to see a new STALKER?
Google is filled with mix messages.

Just gonna stick to this recent interview which basically says they have put STALKER 2 on freeze and are working on a new game (full priced, no F2P bullshit, yay)
Its nice to see that they are aware that they are not yet ready to take on the development of STALKER 2.

This is almost entirely correct.
Even the Steam Page for Shadow of Chernobyl has a top recommendation which contains a link to Complete, being described by the guy as a community patch and now he is in progress of getting fucking destroyed.

No Gunslinger?
No Gunslinger?
"...and here's the designated #1 place for the best weapons overhaul mod for Call of Pripyat, IF WE EVER FULLY RELEASED ONE" - Gunslinger Team
No Gunslinger?
Gunslinger is way beyond the definition of mod. Just like AMK, it's gonna be the base of many future mods.
Gunslinger aka the unfucker patch
I bet the ballistics in Gunslinger are prolly gonna be borrowed from AMK too.
Meanwhile at WiP Mods section on AP-pro.
