[sp]plz, no more google translate. it freaks the hell outta me.[/sp]
This still sounded better and more sensible than Ivan Chesnokov. EDIT: I hope that the next Wormwood feature is gonna be weapon descriptions from "butchering a whole herd of holy cows", beac pls do.
The Heckler and Koch G3, a legendary battle rifle chambered in the 7.62x51mm NATO round. Accurate and reliable, the G3 nonetheless has a proclivity for causing as much damage to the user's shoulder as it does to the target. Available in Olive Green and Counter-Terrorism Black.
[editline]26th January 2015[/editline]
The Franchi SPAS-12 is a semi-automatic/pump action combat shotgun first produced by the Italian gunsmiths Franchi in the year 1979. Being a heavy, unreliable gun with an awkward action and supplies of spare parts rapidly running dry, it's a wonder any Stalker would be foolish enough to use it. And yet about half of them do. Maybe they're big fans of the Terminator, your guess is as good as mine.

AK-47: Crude and inaccurate bullet thrower designed by and for illiterate peasants. Chambered in a caliber that manages to cut the ballistics of a proper .30-caliber battle rifle in half without passing on any weight savings to the grunt. Ergonomics only suitable for Russian midgets. Archaic cable trigger spring, crummy sights, no sight radius to speak of, no bolt hold-open device, and a clumsy safety. Favorite infantry rifle of Middle Eastern goat herders, guys named Abdullah, and backwoods militia types who like the fact that it shoots cheap ammo and has ballistics like their familiar .30-30.
Seems about right. :v: [editline]26th January 2015[/editline] Seriously we should start writing these for use in STALKER, I'd totally replace my game's weapon blurbs with these :v: Regular Gun Reviews [editline]26th January 2015[/editline] Probably more informative than the game's stock Engrish weapon descriptions anyway...
Hah, I wouldn't mind adding an NPC who insulted the player's choice in guns in such terms. [editline]26th January 2015[/editline]
You're carrying an L85, Stalker? Really - I wish I was as brave as you. I hear some veteran Stalkers go out on raids with outdated weapons, just to stay challenged, but taking on mutants and mercenaries with a club? A club with awful ergonomics, no less? You're a real hero.

Hah, I wouldn't mind adding an NPC who insulted the player's choice in guns in such terms. [editline]26th January 2015[/editline]
Oh god, that'd be great..
I see you're carrying a Groza, Stalker! You like those expensive 9x39 rounds? How about that bullet drop? And man, that GL must make it weigh a ton!

This is almost entirely correct. Even the Steam Page for Shadow of Chernobyl has a top recommendation which contains a link to Complete, being described by the guy as a community patch and now he is in progress of getting fucking destroyed. http://steamcommunity.com/id/kamikazifly/recommended/4500/
Look. He has removed the truth.
What a pleb that guy is
honestly I don't think Complete will ever be displaced word of mouth is important, and Complete has fucktons
Eventually let's take a note from what they've done, and crank its stupidity and casualization up to eleven. Then let's spread the word as far as possible and watch the casual masses rejoice and the true stalker world burn.

[editline]26th January 2015[/editline]

Hey stalker, do I see a TT in your holster? Did you not forget to remove the post from the end of the barrel? Haven't you heard of that one other stalker that roamed the Zone with that thing? Doesn't run no more, that much I can tell you, he only walks very slo-o-owly now, heh. Remove the post as soon as you can, stalker, that'll do you much good in the future, haha. Best of luck to you, brother, but do yourself a favor, get rid of that fucking thing.
Lol, this last page is gold.

Then let's spread the word as far as possible and watch the casual masses rejoice and the true stalker world burn.
If anything, it'd probably be better to just fix up Complete. The concept itself is fine, sort of an all in one starter modpack that people think is the best way to start the game for the first time with. In a way I can't blame them, because when I start to play a game with STALKER's janky reputation I usually start looking for the biggest community fixpack I can.
thanks for the kind words everyone seems like the Russian folks over on ap-pro are keeping up to date, that's neat! I did laugh at their despair of us all being 'Yankees' though. Day 3 of Wormwood Week is currently awaiting authorisation on ModDB... Who knows if it's actually going to be authorised today.
If anything, it'd probably be better to just fix up Complete.
The only way to fix up Complete is just to rip everything except graphics out of it. How else are you going to fix up rampant save corruption and everything mentioned in the pastebin?
The only way to fix up Complete is just to rip everything except graphics out of it. How else are you going to fix up rampant save corruption and everything mentioned in the pastebin?
You're much better off just using texture packs that adhere to yourself.
The only way to fix up Complete is just to rip everything except graphics out of it. How else are you going to fix up rampant save corruption and everything mentioned in the pastebin?
Yeah, easier to just not even bother with Complete and use the standalone texture/graphic mods rather than getting that nasty complete dirt on your hands just to use it's graphical stuff.
The best thing to do with Complete is just to act as if it never existed, because everytime it is mentioned, a Cavemen VS Astronauts battle style argument gets carried out. [sp]I have done similar mistakes and LOOK HOW WELL I ENDED UP ;-;[/sp]

Complete reminds me of a story. In a group I was in, one of the moderators said he was a hard core S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan and was going to do a SoC stream. He starts out, loads up the complete mod, says it's the best mod out there and why it's so much better then other mods. The reason it's better then anything? Because you can join Duty at the start of the game. And according to him, Duty was the good guys and everyone else was evil. He starts the game, on normal difficulty, because Veteran and Master aren't good for streaming (IE, he doesn't want people to see him die a lot) So he starts the game, and joins duty at the start of the game, before doing any missions. All it took was 500 Ruble and talking to the Trader. He gets the standard duty suit, an AK of some kind, and 100 rounds. He begins his shitty journey into the Zone as a Dutyer and heads off to do the first mission, where he just tells the STALKERS to go in, waits for them to get killed (because loners are no better then bandits according to him.) The STALKERS kill half the bandits before being killed, so then he moves in, kills one bandit, then promptly gets killed by a second bandit who double barrel cheekid his breeki. He then spends the next 15 minutes being killed by the bandits, despite having some mid tier armor and a gun you normally can't get until Agroprom. On the way back to the Trader, his game crashed and his stream was coming to a close. Because he was playing such a bad mod and played STALKER so poorly, I kicked him out of the group, and did a proper STALKER stream, where I streamed AMK (The grand dady of a lot of mods) on Master difficulty. To this day, the guy claims Complete is a good mod, and that no other mod even comes close to it, and only because you can join Duty at the start of the game. The part he didn't admit, was he liked complete because it made the game so easy, a blind grandmother could play it no problem. I also forgot, he was face caming it too. He had a STALKER Hoodie and the lights off. For a hard core STALKER fan, he sure liked shitty mods and hated the good ones.
I could go for some streamed good STALKER mods, or some good let's plays. Anyone know of any good ones?
only because you can join Duty at the start of the game.
Jokes on him. I can do this in Doom's Mod Merge: Preacher Edition too, and with many other factions. And speaking of streams, if anybody is interested, I stream Call of Chernobyl with Alundaio's permission sometimes. Come take a peak inside my channel. Last stream was here: http://www.twitch.tv/offizierkoma/b/611458846 Best part was at the end when I started spawning crazy shit on the Generators.
I was downloading AA2 from them at 14KB/s. Not sure if it's because they can't afford the bandwidth or just some artificial limit. I wish we had alternatives like Bittorrent.
Maybe it has Europe servers only, because almost every time I download from there, I get my max 10mb/s
Maybe it has Europe servers only, because almost every time I download from there, I get my max 10mb/s
Everytime I download from Moddb I get like 200-300kb/s out of my maximum 14mb/s
I get my maxspeed. Which is about 1.5MB/s
Radiation levels now increase slowly through simply being in the Zone, simulating the ambient low-level radiation present in the environment. Utilising artifacts, eating and drinking irradiated consumables, and frequenting localised radiation hotspots will all add to this underlying ambient radioactivity, which you will need to control using the various tools now at your disposal.
So what you're saying is that I now have a good excuse for my crippling vodka dependency.
Didn't get to post it here last night since ModDB did that authorising bullshit again, but Day 3 of Wormwood Week was the announcement of a developer Q+A! Ask me, Etc. and Riki whatever you like regarding the mod and we'll pick the best ones and post them all on Thursday. Today, it's Day 4, which means another big feature reveal! You're gonna like what we've got cooking for you!
Anyone tried this? Thoughts? http://www.moddb.com/mods/misery-the-armed-zone
Nope. But i might take some to include them in my AO 2.4.1.
