i've actually been playing around in AO3 with a Stechkin, glock 17 and wind of freedom vest, even though i have an exosuit, the hunting shotgun and an aek 973. they just made it far too easy so i swapped over to get more of a challenge which is what happens when you mod your carryweight to allow you to carry all the weapon loot i also wanted to use them so i could get rid of all that fucking ammo but you always end up less than you get back from killing people
In case anyone doesn't own any of the games, bundlestars is having a 75% off sale, just picked up all of them for a friend.

Videos like that are why I browse this thread.
Managed to kill my target in darkscape and get back to the merc camp in CoC/AO3 The ironsights on the AK's are fucking horrible and made it even harder than it should be.

Starting to think Bundlestars is owned by GSC. STALKER is on sale like 1-2 times a month there.
I might be wrong, but it seems the different config files for each faction (m_bandit, m_military*) have their own fire dispersion settings as a factor of those defined in m_stalker.ltx, so if a given mod has all the m_stalker dispersion values set to 1 (Lower number = higher accuracy) instead of something normal, the differences between each faction are going to be minimal. And from what I can tell, ZoA has fucking atrociously low values set in m_stalker.ltx while those in each faction file are the same as vanilla. I'm gonna play about with these files and see if I can make it not absolutely-fucking-ridiculous. Might even be able to accentuate the differences between factions, for example military are better at taking aimed shots than anything else while aiming might not make as much of a difference to bandits. Though changing the AI behaviour to support this is something way out of my league, if even possible at all. * Though it seems these, monolith and zombie are the only ones, nothing for freedom/duty/merc/eco etc. Presumably they all draw from m_stalker.ltx
I dunno how I did it before, I think it was just a simple copy/paste, I just took files from LURK because I really loved the stealth, and that's a huge improvement right there in ZOA. I'm gonna try this again because I did a new install of SHOC recently.
Managed to kill my target in darkscape and get back to the merc camp in CoC/AO3 The ironsights on the AK's are fucking horrible and made it even harder than it should be.
Try the AK-12s, AKS-74U and AEKs. The AK-74M's sights aren't that bad but the ones on those three are way better. Alternatively, just get a kobra/1p29 at the earliest opportunity - most of the time if you're at the distance where using the scope would fuck you over in close quarters, you're close enough to hipfire.
CoP key if somebody still don't have it. [sp]48B4G-VP2DZ-YNJ66[/sp]
You can get CoP for $1.99 right now: http://www.bundlestars.com/all-bundles/all-stars-3-bundle/ Comes with 7 other games too
Hey, trying to download the AO3-COC thing. Is there anything else I need to download before I install it?
Where are the tools located in SGM 2.2? If it helps, here's a screenshot of the SGM I use: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/430447961041227951/5261774C31525523FF7C5CA9FE95006BB0A8A937/[/t]

Every like, 5th guy I would kill would get fucked up knees
Just another reminder that you can use your GameSpy Cd keys (Found in the multiplayer tab or right click the game on Steam and select "View CD key") in GOG and get a DRM-Free copy for free. Also comes with other goodies like the soundtracks: https://www.gog.com/reclaim With that said I just got Clear Sky which I was missing in the list and with that now all the STALKER games on Steam and GOG.
Is it normal for CoC+AO3 to crash every few minutes without generating a crash log? :v: Googling this just regurgitates a lot of SoC/CoP content. I'm not really sure where to look for addressing glitches like this, I'd appreciate a nudge in the right direction

The bandits used metro models and every single bandit i encountered would break his legs upon death
Seriously thugh where are thr tools, I looked up vids of their locations but they were mostly other versions of sgm and the ones that werent had them at different places than in my game
Seriously thugh where are thr tools, I looked up vids of their locations but they were mostly other versions of sgm and the ones that werent had them at different places than in my game
Talk to Owl. Location is random.
Seriously thugh where are thr tools, I looked up vids of their locations but they were mostly other versions of sgm and the ones that werent had them at different places than in my game
You can cheat the system by [sp]quick saving, talking to Owl, getting the location, and then quick load thus saving you money. It is a cheap trick, but it can save you a lot of hassle searching every nook and cranny. [/sp]
Is it just me or does anyone else get this odd crackling noise when people are shooting at eachother ingame? It seems to happen the most when there's gunfire from a distance and then gradually subsides when you are next to the gunfire. It's not extremely annoying but I was just wondering if anyone knows what I'm talking about and might be able to help me. I use a Soundblaster Z using the Windows 10 drivers.

Or how would I switch to DirectSound? There are two choices for audio, and they are both "Generic Software" I got a new stacktrace in addition to wrap_oal.dll. 0023:00690076 HydraDMH.dll
Playing Autumn Aurora for SoC. I'm not sure if this mission was in vanilla, but how the hell am I meant to sneak in to the military checkpoint at cordon? There are roughly 12 soldiers, two of whom are guarding the only way in, three at the bottom of a tower with a view to the other building from the window. I'm trying to do it at night, low-crouch-walking and stuff, I can get as close as the wire or the buildings, but I always get spotted one way or another. Sid you lying bastard, you said there'd only be a few guys. Thinking of just waiting til day and picking them all off from a distance
get out of here slatekr

Use that to get past the fence, to the side of the checkpoint. Run up on the concrete slabs, jump on the latrine, then onto the barracks. You can go in the roof, and in the attic there are some boxes that might drop ammo, food, maybe a suit or two. From here, pick them off and have them bunch up, take advantage and in no time you should have a majority dead with maybe one or two real opposition.

I don't think I ever saw that tree though, I'll give it a go. Autumn Aurora's pretty damn good btw, though some of the weapon anims are as bad as or worse than vanilla. At least they sound like guns though.

But for reference to fixing sound: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1737840 or add -dsound to launch parameters to use DirectSound instead of OpenAL
