Why the hell is CoC crashing at launch yelling about missing xrParticles.dll?
I think my antivirus blocked that file. I disabled my AV (Avast) and reinstalled, put AV back on, ran the game and CoC worked fine.
ok but gunslinger when?
Is there any way to play Call of Chernobyl without downloading and installing Call of Pripyat?

I'm pretty sure it's standalone.

seemingly simple registry trick
I'm pretty sure it's standalone.
Is it? I'm downloading the official torrent now but I think I read somewhere that you need Call of Pripyat installed anyway.

Care to explain? I really can't be bothered to re-download Call of Pripyat on Steam.
You can unpack the installer with this program.
Download it, put innounp.exe in the same folder as the installer files, make a bat file/open command prompt and type in:
innounp.exe -x "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Chernobyl setup.exe"
That will extract it and put the files in a folder in the same location as the innounp.exe, then you can move it wherever. Seems to work, I don't have CoP installed and I can launch it at least.
SO I went to Cordon in CoC, it's laggy as fuck, who thought it was a good idea to add knee-high grass that is super dense EVERYWHERE that you CAN'T DISABLE... :suicide:
Cordon is shit anyway
[editline]26th September 2015[/editline]
Then again I prefer it to Agroprom and the Garbage

What are you talking about? Go into video options and turn down grass detail density.
You can unpack the installer with this program.

Thanks bud. I launched it without CoP being installed and it worked fine!
Just be careful not to slide the grass density slider all the way up guys, I maxed everything including the grass density slider and my FPS was at around 30/40. Turned it to around 2/3rds and it's loads better.
Does the full version have a grass draw distance slider, or no? in the leak you could change r__detail_radius and it would let you render the grass from super far which fixes the ugly terrain texture + grass fade (plus if you run it in dx9 and a decent vid card you can get crazy grass view distance with high fps which is cool).
Yes it's in the video options.
What's "technician feature" in CoC's game settings do?
I think my antivirus blocked that file. I disabled my AV (Avast) and reinstalled, put AV back on, ran the game and CoC worked fine.
Thanks! I have Avast aswell and this worked perfectly

I think they take the item temporarily to "work" on it
Hah. I took a look at the Call of Chernobyl FAQ...

Q: Will this have Misery or COMPLETE support and would it be simple to combine?
A: Seriously, get the hell out of here and don't come back.
Probably been posted before, but that's a great response :v:

Is the lighting fucked up for anyone else in CoC? I'm on DX11 and all that but the Bar looks like somebody turned on fullbright:

I really like AF3 but I do not like the skyboxes for foggy/stormy days at all

it seems like it was made to help make the scrolling clouds pop but it just ends up making the sky look extremely basic and uninteresting.
Anyone know how i could replace AF3 skies with an SoC skybox of my choosing? Would it work if i just renamed the files properly or would some editing have to be done

Yep the bar and other areas have completely fucked lighting. I don't know if they brightened it up on purpose or if it's a bug but all I know is that it's incredibly annoying.
Go into the Atmosfear settings and set the Atmosfear lighting settings back to default, it should fix it.

make sure r2_allow_r1_lights isn't enabled

Since there was already an AO merge for the CoC leak, I figure i'll let someone else do the release version merge, and wait til these other weapons mods come out before delving back into modding.
I'm pretty much waiting on the AO merge with CoC to play the release version
Does the FoV patcher work with CoC? I don't see why it wouldn't, but you never know with xRay.
;48771325']Does the FoV patcher work with CoC? I don't see why it wouldn't, but you never know with xRay.
Doesn't need it, you can modify fov and fov_hud in the console.
Fuck, I just love how in CoC I can go into a large area and after a while find a bunch of dead bodies with loot and know that there was an actual fight that happened every time
How do i edit weapon durability/clip size in Call of Chernobyl? Most mods i played had weapon stats in gamedata/configs, can't seem to find it though.
PS: Is there an item/NPC spawner bundled with COC and how do i enable it?
Afaik CoC has all the stuff packed in .db files, you'd need to unpack those to edit settings.
Meh, going back to my good old "waiting on x lol", replace x with CoC + AO3 and hopefully inhabited undergrounds/labs/whatever else that's empty in the mod lol.
