How's the performance on that?
Solid 60 fps on a gtx 970
Vs the built-in AA?
Same. Also gtg for now, brb in 2-3ish hours.
I could use some advice from somebody who knows how the alife works in detail. So I've been trying to cope with the lack of faction war by increasing the companion limit to about a hundred and do large freedom raids on the Dark Valley bandit base. I divided the troop to stay both there and at the small camp in the south, by the Darkscape levelchanger. Over shorter periods they stay there just fine, but after a day or two they just get replaced by bandits. Is this a simulation thing, where they actually get counterattacked and defeated while the map is offline, or do they "expire" and just get replaced? Did you manage to force this on DX11? Because I struggle myself to get AA working atm.
Squads do not just vanish, they will select new jobs and smart terrains within the level or adjacent levels. There are no features in place to change respawn according to which faction is currently present at the smart. I was working on a system for this in a separate branch of CoC but I'm not going to finish it as I'm done modding. AxelDominator might do something with it, though, he has full access to it and wanted to make a faction war-like addon for CoC but he is also a busy man. Forcing AA through Nvidia is all I did. You should only need to set r2_aa off. @Odellus: True but alpha MSAA doesn't work by default and is hidden in non-Russian release of COP unless I'm mistaken. r3_use_dx10_1 r3_msaa_alphatest st_opt_atest_msaa_dx10_1 Also if using DX9 the AA is very poor, forcing FXAA is better.
and you never will.
What do you mean by this? Those pictures I posted are in DX9 and AA works just fine.
Looks like I found a new gravity anomaly at CNPP. Tried to force aa through AMD control panel but it breaks light sources (campfires, lamps, even flashlights).
What DX mode are you in?
DX9. All I want is less jagged edges but even simple AA in Stalker is a pain.
DX9. All I want is less jagged edges but even simple AA in Stalker is a pain.
i wasn't joking when i said you will never get msaa to work in dx9. dx10 and up are the only renderers that allow for msaa with deferred shading. this isn't a stalker only thing, either. dx9 deferred shading is strictly limited to post processing solutions, so if you want aa in dx9 your best option is downsampling followed by smaa.
DX9. All I want is less jagged edges but even simple AA in Stalker is a pain.
Did you try different AA modes? Might need to disable adaptive AA and try Morphological Anti-Aliasing (MLAA). But I don't know what GPU he has, MLAA is post 6000 series. I used to own a 6800 and used it but now I have a GTX 760
Did you try different AA modes? Might need to disable adaptive AA and try Morphological Anti-Aliasing (MLAA).
I have HD6850. Every settings work but light sources become like this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/WVtEkmM.jpg[/t] [editline]2nd October 2015[/editline] Ok got MLAA working by disabling ALL other stuff. Finally.
This reminds me , is anyone else's campfires broken? I can hear the sound of the fire but not a single one appears lit. This is in CoC btw.
What do you mean by this? Those pictures I posted are in DX9 and AA works just fine.
that... doesn't make any sense. http://http.developer.nvidia.com/GPUGems2/gpugems2_chapter09.html csaa is not post process, either.
Here's a few more Screenshots to show off MSAA+SGSSAA on DX11. So I installed CoP Absolute Nature 3 onto CoC now it crashes when clicking on a save file. I have no clue why it would do that Any help
if it wasn't the lite version you normally need to start a new game since it modifies the levels. Also it may not even work for CoC depending on the maps themselves. you can always just take the build_details from the Abs nature levels folders and use those to straight up replace the vegetation without compatibility issues.

I need help fixing unupgradable Monolith suit. Checked in outfit.ltx and I can't tell if something is off.
So I installed CoP Absolute Nature 3 onto CoC now it crashes when clicking on a save file. I have no clue why it would do that Any help
AN3 installs a modified all.spawn and modified level geometry, it won't work with CoC unfortunately unless you do some manual work. You should be able to use the Lite version.

If you have AI detection issues in CoC disable "AI Die In Anomaly" The fix for this was to flag space restrictors "visible for AI" and I think it might be causing issues with ray query collision effectively making NPCs blind to you if you are standing inside one. Sadly this means I will have to remove it from engine now.

It did fix the AI though, now its a challenge.

There might be a working Arsenal Overhaul merge for CoC, but I haven't tried it out yet. Has anyone tried this one (http://stalker-mods.clan.su/load/stalker_zov_pripjati/arsenal_overhaul_2_5_for_call_of_chernobyl/1-1-0-1089)? Russian sites inherently look shady as hell.
I always get 503 error on your images.
Huh, have been using cubeupload, because it does not compress the images like imgur does. You don't happen to know another service like that, which isn't constantly down?
Please switch to 100% quality JPEG's.
As soon as I figured out a new host they'll be that. Did the screenshots with steam, and it saves the uncompressed copies as png, which I didnt notice really.

they take a billion years to load on phones
Just use damned imgur
Decided to zip and upload them on mega, since I didn't find a non-compressing imagehost in time. The screens are not crazy good, just there to show off the AA a little. https://mega.nz/#!8plVEBjZ!krlRYR0vq5yWYRGYZGopWUaWWGsqcHbsUE_pOmTRxpw
