it keeps happening
GUNSLINGER IS REINVENTING STALKER AS WE KNOW IT
That looks sweet, only thing I dont like so much is the SEVA suit injections. I feel sticking a needle through the suit jeopardizes the integrity of the suit.

guis what if gunslinger is actually just a bunch of concepts never to be released, and to encourage better modding?
I would cry :v:
So I installed CoC with the weapons mod to see what the fuss was about, and it's a surprising experience to say the least. Being able to explore all (sans broken maps like the truck graveyard) of the exclusion zone is cool as hell. The A life is still rather impressive, even if Bloodsuckers will kill you in the Cordon if you're not paying attention. Even found a follower in the first 15 minutes with a sniper rifle. I don't know why, but after about 30 minutes I realized he had dropped it or gotten rid of it for a bunch of garbage guns. Now he's running around with what I can only assume is a busted as shit m4.
NPC pick up multiple / all weapons and use them depending on the situation IIRC.
NPC pick up multiple / all weapons and use them depending on the situation IIRC.
I've seen some interesting choices in different mods. "Oh, I'll use this MP5 although I got a Groza OTs-14 that has way more stopping power. I like 9mm :downs:" "What do you mean this makarov can't take on a bloodsucker?" "Why can't I hit you from 100 feet away with my sawn off double barrel?"
Every stash I found is empty. Including small blue boxes and wooden crates. Yet it still prompts "Stash found".
Yeah, CoC still has certain problems. Crap AI and fullbright has been fixed but stashes are still empty, labs are also empty but pretty sure that's a feature for modders as opposed to something they forgot, I still wish they'd at least add stuff to labs and let modders mod over it I suppose. I don't think I've ever seen any mods that drastically changed labs so I don't think it'd be a problem and I don't want to have to wait on someone to mod monsters in labs/undergrounds. The lack of missions also seems to be a slight problem, from what I've seen and read, certain factions literally give you the same kind of mission over and over again.
it's a modders' resource, and a good one at that too, so of course it feels a bit barebones
I'd like to see somebody make a barebones quest mod that adds more varied sidequests with more rewards than money (maybe access to certain upgrades/special weapons/suits), fills the labs, has a bit of a CS-type faction war element, better random loot, and merged with a decent weapons mod and I think i'd be happy for a long time. Though as it is STCSWP does a decent job of incentivizing exploring because many times i go to a new area I find a modded gun I haven't seen before Man, It's really cool and kinda haunting to see STALKER music put to real footage of the zone
NPC pick up multiple / all weapons and use them depending on the situation IIRC.
I murdered his stupid ass and he didn't have his Dragunov on him, so he had to have either dropped it or lost it in a melee confrontation or something, I don't know. I gave him a famas with an acog and silencer and some ammo for it so he'd at least be kinda useful. I'm thinking of also giving him a really good pump shotgun to murder mutants with. Also what do I do with PDA's? Do I take them to owl or are there people I sell them to? [editline]6th October 2015[/editline]
fullbright has been fixed
Really? I dunno, some areas seem really blown out and almost all the roads are glowing in those maps, the worst I've come across so far are Limansk and Jupiter. The Red Forest seems to be perfectly okay though.
Did you reset atmosfear lighting in the atmosfear options?
Nope I'll do that now, thanks.
What's wrong with complete, anyway?
People just need to get over it. I see so much shitposting over particular mods and it's dumb. People can play whatever they want in their singleplayer game. If someone plays Complete, or Misery, or whatever the black sheep of the year is then good for them if they enjoy it, they found something they like.
I think the problem with Complete and Misery is that they're advertised EVERYWHERE and they overshadow other perfectly good mods. Or even worse, when there's a new mod released you get swarms of people asking "Does this work with Complete? Can I merge it with Misery?" etc

"If you're playing for the first time, use complete. It makes the game better in every way"
So, basically, Complete is the equivalent of Doom's Brutal Doom? Where is everywhere, is considered "The way to be played" and "Make your mod compatible with this". You get the idea.

You get the idea.
Yeah, with the difference that anything Complete does, has been done better by other mods/modcombinations, especially in the graphical overhaul department. The problem with Misery is more of ridiculous unjustified difficulty adjustments, which just drag out the game rather than adding any entertainment factor to it, which in my opinion is a shame because it had plenty of great other features that made the game feel more authentic (Artifact containers, more realistic measurement of radioactivity etc.).
theres too many shitty mods and not enough GUNSLINGA

I think I'd enjoy it a lot more spread across SoC and some additional maps, than just three where I'm stuck running back to the same barge place all day for the first half or more of the game.
Isn't Autumn Aurora 2 basically Misery for ShoC but without the bullshit? Hell most of the icons and textures are from misery and they ported over a lot of the items
I wish more mods implemented stuff like artifact containers.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/CFtjRef.jpg[/t] What in gods name
STALKER 2 concept art?
There are some giant holes or something in the bar in CoC, near the duty base and at the entrance from the garbage at the right time of day sunlight shines straight through the cliff face and sides of buildings
