Had a look at some of the new Vanilla+ screenshots on ModDB Kevin, they all look quite dark. Is that intentional?
Soo anyway to get fast travel in CoC? Running through Limansk is pretty terrifying :v:
Soo anyway to get fast travel in CoC? Running through Limansk is pretty terrifying :v:
None whatsoever, it's all walking unfortunately. First time I went to Limansk in CoC I was scared shitless. Getting rained on by bullets from an MI-24 while attempting to dodge mines in the streets is not my cup of tea. Especially because I was quite overloaded after raiding the Dead City and thought that Limansk would be a quick way to the Red Forest. Mistakes were made.
I ran through Limansk backwards after going all the way to the Generators. The Hind scared me at first but then unintentionally cleared the way for me. v:v:v
You know what? I once shot down a Hind with an SV-98. 15 rounds of 7.62x54R to the cockpit is enough to send it tumbling down. Cordon feels much less safer now.
Hey, can someone give me a list of nicknames used in the games? Specifically in English, because Russian sources are incomplete if anything.
"If someone could just help me..." *drunknotbandit*
Streaming some work on the brand new interior for the rear building in the Jupiter Plant complex now! www.twitch.tv/beacondev

So I was browsing the CoC forum and found a thread which explained that you could edit the smart terrains ( Stalker/mutant outposts ) so that they can become faction controlled. I took a quick look at the smart terrains and noticed some already could be captured by certain factions ( For example, the mercenaries and the Monolith fight over territory in Limansk ) but the warfare is very limited. Mercenaries won't travel to Cordon for example. So I got the idea to edit the smart-terrains to make some sort of recreation of the faction warfare mod. I started on all the western territories of the zone ( From Limansk to the swamps ) editing them so that the factions will pioritize defending their HQ and try to expand from there. When I tried testing the mod as a soldier I didn't notice any difference at first. Smart terrains which were scripted to start out as army controlled didn't do so. So I decided to sleep some nights in the agroprom to see what would happen. When I woke up I heard the base alarms and there were bandits in the main building. After fighting my way out I noticed the base became a three way warzone between mercenaries, the military and bandits. The bodies literally pile up at every bottleneck area in the zone.

So far my experience with CoC has been incredible. I hear a few people saying its boring and dead and literally just sight seeing but the AI has been so random and unpredictable and every area has brought me a new and exciting experience. I can't wait to see what people add to it.
So I've heard there are config files to tweak to make A-Life more rampant, how do I do this?
I booted up my save from 2 weeks ago in the Monolith War lab for CoC. I still have no idea what to do even if the mod is free roaming. I discovered that when the 6 generators outside discharge electricity, you can jump into it and be teleported. I don't know what should happen after that because it crashes to desktop. I'm going to hunt the wish granter but I don't see what else there is to do in this mod. I found a tunnel leading to a brain scorcher and an artifact underneath the generators, but other than irradiate me it seems to also do nothing. Found 3 bulats and 2 exos now.
Some mods conflicted and now my icons are all messed up. How would I fix this?

What does wishing for humanity to be controlled do?
I know most people are against combat music in stalker here, but how would you guys feel about a minimod for Call of Chernobyl that adds in the trailer and early build music as combat tracks? Stuff like this Along with some skyboxes from SoC/early builds?
I like it tbh reminds me of half life in a way
Some mods conflicted and now my icons are all messed up. How would I fix this?
I think people said you can turn down/up your texture quality to fix it, unless I'm thinking of another UI problem.

I'm assuming you mean the tunnel is in the Generators level itself and not in the War Lab?
Huh, I need to explore that level more closely. I'm assuming you mean the tunnel is in the Generators level itself and not in the War Lab?
The entrance was a tunnel on a hill I think bottom left of the generators. Its huge, but all I found was one Micah.
What does wishing for humanity to be controlled do?
After looking through some of the script files and some in-game observation, I believe it just spawns much more controllers.
I like it tbh reminds me of half life in a way
the second track is givin' me mad Quake 2 vibes
Makes sense, STALKER's original concept (which I'm sure those tracks were originally made for back in 2002 or so :v:) was actually supposed to be a sci-fi arena shooter.
Now that I got CoC unpacked, I'm gonna see if I can make anomaly clusters into literal gold mines :v: Aw fuck it's not gonna be as easy as SHOC. Ok now I keep crashing because it tries to spawn me at Lab X8. :| The fuck. lol my game kept crashing because I set SSAO to very high. Set it back and the game is fine :v:

Moonlight's too blue imo. Can't say much for ambient lighting levels because of the flashlight. Looks like it's okay though.
