So is there any mod building upon CoC by now?
A guy on /r/stalker is almost done with a cs-style faction warfare mod for CoC that apparently will really improve the faction warfare element, taking over bases etc
The following mods for are sourced from the repo on 4chan's /sg/ : OWR - mostly reskins of weapons and armors STCSWP - Armory mod, basically everything plus the kitchen sink. Anon's CoCMod - Adds some minor changes like mask hud, basic faction war, and a crowded, more hectic Zone (more squads and larger squads). Works with STCSWP. Arsenal Overhaul 3 - This is actually the CoP's AO3, recently ported to CoC by /sg/ (The official AO3 port is probably late December 2015). Very brutal (and slightly bullshit) in gameplay since you can die in 1-2 hits and the all-seeing AI can either snipe you with an MP5 from 200m away or nade you to dead from 100m away. Also works with CoCMod, but you don't want 7 military dudes lobbing nades at you. Still dreadfully waiting for Shoker and Gunslinger (and 3D scopes) though.
For you what is better for CoC, owr o ao3?
For you what is better for CoC, owr o ao3?
OWR for standard CoC, STCSWP for some extra variety and fun stuffs, AO3 for early access extra plus some annoying bullshit (although it's probably going to be fixed)

It's hard to balance new guns. I dunno, I like CoC AO3, even with the shenanigans it has. All CoC needs now is new artifacts and anomalies.
why is this still a thing i remember people complaining about this with mods all the way back when SOC was first getting mods, ffs that shit is annoying.
I like it, puts me on edge during every firefight.
There's a patch currently for the released AO3 by Anon @ /sg/ and some tweaks for difficulty. I dunno how well they work though, but here. http://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl/addons/arsenal-overhaul-3-for-coc-1224 mega:///#F!EFlgjDrS!KQ7oAMKp1ycsmiQ3mWnfLg!0YNAESxa
I added some new guns to V+ "Extended Edition"* [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/26/25752/XR_3DA_2015-10-31_12-09-59-35.png[/t] And for you, Puris [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/26/25752/XR_3DA_2015-10-31_12-12-36-29.png[/t] "Differentiating unique weapons according to their descriptions (lightened components, polymer black grip and matte black finish)" Here's the 2 variants, of which I edited the OWR3 green to be our nostalgic yellow / desert-tan [t]http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/26/25752/XR_3DA_2015-10-28_00-20-48-53.png[/t]
Is there like a guide or something for what someone can do in COC? Just started to get into it.
Is there like a guide or something for what someone can do in COC? Just started to get into it.
If you know what CoC is, then you should know the answer. Otherwise, go back a few pages. Someone wrote a lengthy post
What is the best mod for SoC actually? I finished SoC many times and I'm looking for a good mod, well english translated with new quests and good graphic. What mod could I play? Wich is the best mod between Narodnaya Solyanka Cumulative Pack 2, NS Joint Pak, NS DMX 1.3.5 ENGMOD v1.0 and Fotograf ? I like good graphic. Thanks
Is there like a guide or something for what someone can do in COC? Just started to get into it.

---FURIOSO'S W.I.P. COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO HAVING A GOOD TIME IN CoC--- First, huge thanks to Alundaio and Team EPIC. I've been having a blast with this mod, and with this guide I hope to encourage others to do so as well. Link to the Call of Chernobyl MODDB page. Link to the Team EPIC/Call of Chernobyl forums. __________________________________________________ Now that you have CoC installed and stabilized... •Install one of the fat weapon mods. Diversity in weapons and weapon attachments makes for a more immersive experience. I'm sure everyone is tired of the same vanilla weapons anyway. Personally, I use STSCWP. Don't forget to install relevant fixes and tweaks, too. --Here's a link to a repository of CoC stuff. If you're unsure what to download and what's compatible with what, check out the ReadMe's. If still in doubt, ask here, or on the STALKER general thread in /vg/ --There's a caveat here: CoC has been patched, but the addons and mods for it need to catch up to this patch. If you intend to play with addons, you'll have to use the release version. Which isn't too bad, since a lot of the changes made in the patch are applicable with individual fixes/tweaks in __________________________________________________ •First and foremost, since this is a sandbox, use your imagination. CoC is perfect for STALKER RP. It is ALL up to you. Create your own backstory for the character you play, create their favorite loadout and gear, etc. --I decided to play as Tamaska Tomcat, a fresh stalker seeking fortune in the lucrative artefact market. Gonna keep one of each for the collection back home in the big land and sell the excess. --This is a very minor point, but if you're big on RP like me, you'll find that your character's name is strangely important. If you're stuck, you can always use the standard, random stalker naming scheme to create a name: Slav-esque Noun. Or even Adjective Slav-esque. __________________________________________________ •Decide what your character wants to do in the Zone. This is the meat of your CoC experience. Hunting mutants and collecting artifacts is the usual fare, but this is a sandbox, so shoot for the stars if you so wish. Maybe your character has a vendetta against bandits or the military. Gear up, bring some companions with you and take their faction base down. Then haul their loot off to your own base! I'll list a few ideas here, from the basic, to the incidental, to the extraordinary. Mix and match to your heart's content. --Disable the brain scorcher (you need to in order to get to certain parts of the Zone, unless you're Monolith, obviously.) --Leave the brain scorcher on, and try to discover paths through or around the psi emissions (I actually don't know if this is possible, but it's an idea!) --Form a group. Venture the zone with 1 or 2 companions and try to keep them alive throughout your playthrough. After all, who would Strelok be without Fang and Ghost? :) --Collect all mutant parts. --Collect all artifacts. --Loot and destroy 'x' faction base. --Find the wish granter and make a wish. Your wish will have some effect on the Zone. Explore the changes you've wrought to the Zone! If you're hardcore, continue playing the game like that doing the other stuff you wanted to do. --Explore every area in the game. In particular, generators, limansk, and CNPP are interesting to explore, for the cool level design and fact that it was nigh impossible to really explore these areas outside of time/game constraints in SoC and CS. There's NO points of no return in CoC! You can travel up and down the zone freely without consequence as long as you've disabled the Brain Scorcher. --Assassinate 'x' character. KILL STRELOK. (OK, so I don't think he's actually in CoC, but you can find his PDA!) --Create a home base/stash. I enjoy finding and clearing out areas I like and setting them up as my hideout. You can create your own stashes in CoC, which makes this feasible. (Some decent spots: the second story farmhouse in the northern half of Cordon, the tower in Bar, the tower in the Army Warehouses village, the sawmill in Zaton, the massive digging machine in Yanov, Strelok's hideout in Agroprom Underground, an apartment in Dead City or Pripyat, the house in the middle of Darkscape, etc.) --Create specific loadouts for venturing through certain parts of the Zone. Leave them in stashes after crossing those areas, so you can collect them back up and drop your other stuff off when you return. --Play as a pacifist. Get to the wish granter without killing a single thing and wish for peace. --Play as Monolith and orchestrate an invasion of the big land. Bring a bunch of Monolith with you and fight to the outer edge of the Zone. You "win" after crossing the military checkpoint in Cordon! --Play as Military or Duty and get to the center to destroy the Zone. --Play as an Ecologist or Clear Sky and observe/study the Zone. It can actually be rather interesting to watch the behavior of mutants out in the wild. I've seen some weird shit happen. Anomalies can be interesting to watch too, but since they cycle through the same thing every few seconds it gets rather dull. (On that note, no mod I've ever played has truly overhauled anomalies and the way that they work. Does anyone else think it's time for some changes? New anomalies?) --Visit and clear out the labs and underground areas. Some of them are populated. Pretend to collect docs for patrons/superiors. (Would be nice if CoC had randomly placed documents that functioned similarly to the way that PDAs function. Where Owl and the Clear Sky trader purchase PDA data, Barman, Sakharov and Hermann/Nokivov should buy documents) --Obtain the elusive Svarog artefact detector. This is actually rather rare if you aren't an ecologist. I looted mine from the corpse of a veteran/expert ecologist in Yantar.
is there russian/ukrainian voices with english subtitles?
is there russian/ukrainian voices with english subtitles?
i know you can do that in metro

Thanks for the help!
is there russian/ukrainian voices with english subtitles?
Yes, but not through the vanilla game ofc. You'll have to unpack a russian version of the game with the russian sounds in them and download the ingameCC mod. Also, it won't translate random character speech, just storyline. And the only ingamecc mod I know of is for SoC, don't know of CS / Cop

"They called him Kostik Terminator for a reason."
Did atmosfear do something with rain sounds? Because I'm playing CoC which has atmosfear but rain seems extremely quiet for some reason
So now that I have AO3, the only thing bugging the fuck out of me is how everyone is a 360 noscope headshot master. Seriously this is bordering on sadomasochism.
I got the STCSWP - I love the guns but makes the game a bit too easy due to the value of the attachments. Sad that the Striker doesn't have any upgrades, maybe because of a goof on my part - but everything else is working nice.

And some fixes - trying to remove attachments from certain weapons causes crashes.

yes good stuff looking forward to the 2018 release
I swear how they're doing upgrading is how it should have been.

Is that a bayonet I see there at the bottom of the upgrade list?

It's probably the best AK-74M model out there, 4096c4096 maps for everything. Extreme quality. I'm extremely jelly. Here's some screens of the variants he made. There was also a desert version EDIT Also, how many of you noticed the +1 in the mag feature?
