You can change your faction manually by editing axr_options

So, after an insanely long hiatus of playing the Stalker games I picked up CoC because it's like the 'mod' to play right now it seems.
Installed it, patched and installed Arsenal Overhaul but is there anything else I should look for to make the game maybe a tad more difficult or refined maybe?

Duty wiped out Freedom in my game and now Duty and Loners occupy the Warehouses.
(Although I still had to kill Lukash, Skinflint, and Screw for anyone to occupy past the front gate.)

Also is faction wars worth installing for CoC I do feel despite all these maps that the zone isn't nearly lively enough.

I'm using almost all the mods from the repo, and I'm using STCSWP as my weapon mod. If you think the Zone isn't lively enough a faction war mod is pretty fun. There's nothing like grabbing a squad of Dutiers to go off to Jupiter and camp out.

does faction war for CoC require the alife unbalance?
I dunno honestly, I haven't gotten it to work for me. I just use the Alife 2.0 mod in the CoC repo and AO3. When I try to add the faction war mod it crashes creating a new game.

There seems to be an error in the logic. Does this happen when loading a save or newgame start?
Which is considered the better weapons mod? STCSWP or AO3? I'm liking STCSWP a lot but AO3 does have some weapons that I really like.

Well, It's that my PC crashed. I can't look into my own files :v: Sorry mate, but only Alun can help out I guess. I'd compare the 2 scripts side by side with Beyond Compare / WinCompare, if you can get your hands on it. Notepad++ also has this option, but i find the first 2 to be easier to use / more visually appealing.

why is it every weapon mod i try can't do reflex/holosights to save their fucking life???
In AA for shoc, the kobra sights on AKs literally look like someone painted a chevron onto the glass, making it near useless in low-light situations. Other mods Ive looked at have the same problem with EOtechs and aimpoints from what I can see.

This is honestly the best looking map design I've seen. The part where they 'enter' cordon is amazing. Left me speachless. I recommend you all to just sit this one out. It's breathtaking where STALKER is going.
What map are they showing exactly? An in-between map?
It has pieces stitched in from various other areas though, including Agropom Underground without a loading screen.
