Well, I fixed my problem anyways. Seems like the game was shitting itself after the [sp]C-Conciousness speech[/sp]. I just used ZRP's area portal teleporter to skip past the sequence.

I can confirm this. /sg/ is the pinnacle of buttmad a bit too often. They are the only people capable of complaining about how you are playing a singleplayer game.
And as you may know already, I got some very nice first-hand experience of that. You too can have some if you just mention your stalkan loadout, favourite guns, or the repacks.
so far /sg/ have been 90% enthused and supportive of wormwood, with the odd troll as usual
That's because there's no reason to complain yet about Wormwood - Nobody complains until they play and gather experiences.
But it seems that people forget about this rule.

Awesome, I've always wanted that in STALKER, it was a cool thing to deal with in Metro. Will damage to your helmet/mask also affect air usage, like having leaks, or will it work fine until it completely breaks?

Please tell me you have a optional addon that fixes the ballistics and resistences. Cause I just started playing for 5 mins and gave up cause it took 7 rounds from a PM to a bandits center mass at like 5 feet away to kill him, but I get killed from the other end of the carpark by pinpoint rounds in about 2. Which is funny cause my PM is nowhere near that accurate.
It's like playing misery all over the again.

I really need to tweak the pistols yeah. For some reason I find it very difficult to balance them in STALKER. I don't know how to categorize them. If you want to help me out with balancing them (advice or your own tweaks) I'd be all open to it.

Gunslinger already has lots of custom animations including using irons without taking off optics.
Adding Shoker-like 3D scopes will be hell.

Now if only they will simplify hud / remove stuff from it to improve immersion.
For example i could happily live without hud radar. The hud in Misery was a really good direction.

It seems they even addressed the issue of drinking a whole bottle of vodka at once.
So I've been working for a while on that Metro HUD for CoP. There is still lots of things to be done, but take a look at what i've managed to do so far.

Here are things to be done:
- Disable the inventory grid
- Remove the clunky green background behind the item count
- Make buttons, scrollbar and item condition metro-ish too, generally everything will be metro
- Make the dialogue screen less visible/invisible when trading, eventually I make the inventory screen full opaque and gray but dunno if peeps would like that, I suspect not.
- Sidepanels should be made transparent too, maybe.
- A better font maybe, like Roboto Condensed or Comme or other shit like that.

Just don't end up like Misery where most of your inventory is composed of ridiculous gadgets.

I like my pistols to do solid damage, but not have much range unless you're really aiming hard. That way you can pull it out if you need a quick, dependable backup, but you're still going to rely on your primary most of the time. I usually use the .45 caliber pistols for the extra punch and decent accuracy; they've gotten me out of some tight spots before.
Fast firing moderately recoiling 4 shots to center mass at 15 meters would be nice. Not accurate enough for sniping, but for mid range you could reliably place shots on target. Depends on the pistol too ofc.
Bad company 2 Grach was good in that manner, except it might be a bit too accurate.
I've noticed that playing on hardest difficulty is easiest. Guns do more damage and you and enemies are weaker

I would say it's more fair. And there is nothing more that I hate than bullet soaks in a game where it makes no sense.

Lower settings increase player health in an odd way by changing the chance that a bullet that hits you does actual damage; afaik Novice it's a 50/50 whether a bullet that hits you actually "hits".
Can't remember what it does to AI health though; wouldn't surprise me if NPCs were unintentionally affected the same way as the player by default.
