So they remade them for Gmod? That's pretty cool
the models in Garry's Mod that are from Counter-Strike: Source and Half-Life 2 have only been converted to c_models, they have not been remade.
I don't even knows what that means
I don't even knows what that means
you don't know what c_models are?
they're basically the regular view models of weapons, but with only animation information for hands, and not hands themselves, to separate hand models from weapon models.
Warfare for COC just got updated and it is... intense.
It fixes some game-breaking issues, like neutral factions taking over your territory or off-map AI not defending territory properly, but it also appears to have made mutants very powerful, as you can make them have proper A-life AI now. Entire factions literally get wiped out by mutants.
So recommended CoC mods, also which weapon pack for it?
exgsc.com posted more inof about how STALKER 2 was going to be, if anyone is interested: http://www.exgsc.com/?p=3231
Some cool unreleased S2 concept art and anomoly information.

There are so many addons for COC now that I can't keep track of what is good to install anymore. I wish there was a list with everything in installation order so I don't mess anything up. Something like AO3 with that Warfare addon sounds awesome, but I know there's other little addons that make things even more fun. I just don't have the know-how to muss about with this addon stuff :(

Yeah, I've been waiting for the submods to smooth out a bit more before going back into CoC.
FoV in stalker is kind of low, and most models are made for the low FOV. You easily get weird things with FoV over 70, such as this. The FoV here is 70

This happens with a lot of weapons once you go to 70 or above, and its more noticeable with vanilla weapons.
the magazine flip with the ak-101 always made me wonder in battlefield 2
wow thats the exact animation i was thinking of
yeah, it's very common for games in general to do this-- things which the player won't see may not be modelled or animated.
a lot of older games won't even have all sides of a gun modelled.
It's weird how many professional-animators do that.
I for one have always done my FPS-animations so that the mag switching is done relative to where the mag would go and come from on the body.
Although I've only ever done reload-animations on a rig with full-body awareness in mind.
the magazine flip with the ak-101 always made me wonder in battlefield 2
that animation is so fun to watch though
It's not nearly as frustrating as say how Day of Defeat Source handles weapon animations. Do I really need to cock my gun EVERY time I pull it out?
the magazine flip with the ak-101 always made me wonder in battlefield 2
Well you see it's like a hourglass and when you turn it upside down, after all the sand has flown to the bottom of the hourglass, it gets to the top again. It can then flow down more so you can shoot more people.
Tried installing CoC and Arsenal, this is what I got

Is this fixable?

If it's not in the file with the other mutant parts, though, then it becomes a pain in the arse to find. I used to have a program someone in these threads pointed me to that could search for words and phrases in all text files in a given directory, but I cannot remember what it's called anymore.

I know Notepad++ has that feature in it's search function, I've used it before when modding and it's a godsend.
What file would that be? The one with the other mutant parts I mean

Uh? A simple notepad++ can search through folder/subfolder of files.

Animations for putting on your mask are here. I can't link the video, but I'm sure the team will post them soon!
Holy mother fuck exactly what I've always wanted
Man GP-5's are a pain to pull on your head.
I should buy a GP-5 hose while they're still available.

Its especially hard when your head is like 20% bigger than it should be. I bought a GP-5 for a STALKER cosplay and it was so hard to get on I sort of gave up on it. I dont know if there are specifically larger versions for larger people, but if there are I'm sure they're pricey.

If you had the filter on then it was probably for the best, as the GP-5 filter is 7,5% asbestos.
I was thinking about buying the hose and a Swedish Type-4 gas mask, which could end up looking very appropriate to a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. cosplay. The Type-4 gas mask also looks reasonably comfortable to wear.
Then I'd just need to buy a Metro-camo jacket and I'd be good to cosplay as a member of the monolith faction

nah, it was just the mask and the tube, though there was something in it that got in my eye and made it burn for the rest of the day. whatever Russian particulate it was, it wasnt good

iirc the gp-5 filters containing asbestos is just a myth and simply mis-information. almost all nations stopped using asbestos around the time of ww2
wearing the mask with the filters shouldnt be a huge problem, but there are other things in there that could be dangerous, for example broken containment chambers in the filters that spew out tiny pieces of charcoal

Could have been talcum powder. As that's what surplus gas masks tend to be stored in.
