Beautiful 1st post
And my 2000th post. Today is a good day
Thank you, stalker. Now I'm gonna try to break my Rookie reputation.

noice
though i still find the fact that you have to hug and kiss the bandit head in order to kill them in less than 650 bullets awful as fuck
god bless mods for proper ballistic and damage, because that shit is a big no for me
Why does anyone even follow Kotaku?
Also, I am hoping that Wormwood will provide a certain level of realism, but not so far as Misery.
Misery is a buttfuck on bullshit levels, and it's not fun.
I honestly laughed out loud first time I read that. I was in tears and I was still on the team.
Also, stalker modding in 1 image.

:'(
This Missouri image. It's fucking beautiful.
Also it gets progressively more corrupt and screwed, just like actual MISERY gameplay!
Frustration is a tool I wanted to use
Too bad that your tool makes people quit the game. Good job!
Misery is a mod I found boring because it didn't address shitty AI at all, cranked them to 11, and gave them pseudo-RPG tiers of magic anti-headshot armor.
It's world was really interesting, but turning every random bandit into a human CIWS with perfect, telescopic night vision wasn't. Maybe it wasn't really that bad, but that's how I remember it and why I dropped it so fast.

No.
It really was that bad.

It's almost as if frustration has negative connotations for a reason...
Anyone here playing Survarium?
I have access, thanks to Beacon, but I reformatted and haven't reinstalled yet.
Speaking of frustration, I'm playing LURK 1.05 again and loving it... except for the infinite mobs of cheekis. Respawning stalkers are one thing, but I killed several bandits next to the Agroprom underground entrance, murdered/looted/quickloaded my way through the tunnels and came up through the same manhole... only to discover a freshly spawned group of 5 surrounding me and ready to fuck me in the face with sawn offs.
So after my own search of the game files turned up nothing, I gotta ask if anyone here knows what file to mess around with in order to increase the time it takes for stalkers to respawn? I shouldn't have to deal with bandit groups that reappear faster than I can run back to the Bar to sell their crappy broken AKs. If I wanted the Ukrainian clown-car experience I would play Clear Sky.

I've been playing on and off. It's pretty playable now that there's EU servers. Still not ideal, since I'm in the US, but not nearly as laggy as the Russian servers. Gameplay is decent, it's getting more interesting now that I'm actually unlocking and using different gear instead of running in with nothing.
I just played a bit of Survarium. Pretty damn neat. I LOVE the sound design.
No littering in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for fuck's sake, it's not like the Zone has janitors or something.
-apparently not!-
Why the animations for vodka/redbull/syringe/pills are so damn fast? It looks like the character keeps almost everything on his vest and has trained this for years.
Are all Ukrainians kiborgs?
Probably balance and tempo reasons because nobody wants to look at an animation for something which done IRL would last long minutes, even during a battle.

I'd love the hell out of a mod, which places recyclebins everywhere with a slogan promoting to keep the zone clean ("help provide a cleaner zone for your children! sponsored by monolith"). It'd be perfect to bring all your low-condition AKs there.

Imho this is better than vanilla where you'd spam a button whilst in combat to perform such an action. How many a stalker have survived SHoC by spamming medkits or bandages? :p

Well, SGM sort of does that - you can dump all your scrap weapons in a container next to mechanics, and recycle them into spare parts that give you a discount on upgrades.
A slight (1,2x-1,3x?) increase probably wouldn't annoy you that much, while definitely making the animation more, let's say, "realistic".
imho
If the animations and the intended pace of the game do not meet each other, then that's bad balancing. Imo, CoP is better suited for less fast-paced animations but in SoC it'd be pretty shitty because for example the CNPP Helicopter chase sequence doesn't allot the player a whole lot of time to dig out medications and spend half a minute for healing.

only bitches heal during battle
true wizards drink vodka

There were also boxes for dumping off unsellable loot like very low condition guns, and every so often, they'd be replaced with money. The assumption was that some rookie stalker would grab a gun from there and leave a handful of rubles behind as thanks.
"Ray Of Hope" team, now establishes itself as an official company!
Greeting, stalkers.
Finally, we've officially founded our team, now we "exist" as a declared non-profit game company. You can read more about Infinite Art following the link:
We're closer everyday to the first release date, and here are some of the goals of this successful week:
- Team gameplay on test stage
- Quests on test stage
- Works on modernization of the SDK
- Many new specialists in our team:
- Andrey Voytishin (programmer)
- Petr Kustov (programmer)
- Max Barinov (3d modeler)
- New works on the maps
- New design on VK and FB
- Works on the multi- language page of the website
Something more about the quests: we developed the API for the creation of storyline quests.
All the missions, or almost all, will be available for loners and groups of stalkers. There will be some with a story behind, and others like sidequests. Some of them will be available only for one time, for all the players (every stalker) or for small teams (separated quests).
