Can nobody answer my damn question??
Can nobody answer my damn question??
If it was this question:
What would be the best mod for Call of Pripyat that updates the vanilla experience more or less but still adds new content? Hope that makes sense. I read the OP but still dunno what to pick.
It really all depends on what you're looking for in new content. One of my favorite things that is close to vanilla is to play with MSO+Arsenal Overhaul. That combination makes the Zone a lot more active and adds a ton of neat weapons to play around with. If you go into specifics of what you want in terms of new content, I'm sure plenty of people here would be able to help you find something that is nice.
Can nobody answer my damn question??
Honestly, if you're going to come in here and ask for the "best" mod you shouldn't be surprised if you don't get an answer. You need to decide what you want before we can help you - something more specific than "new content".

Really makes one feel welcome being ignored over simple and innocent questions.

They have their own communities, so it's basically like a dozen people having their own conversations and your own input gets lost unless you're specifically asking someone or otherwise draw attention to yourself. Happens to me all the time. You do need to give more info, though. Are you talking just weapons/armor new content, or new quests, or just a total conversion with new maps, etc? SGM is pretty good if you just want more of everything.
Except all Doom did was merge LURK 1.1 and Freeplay Start... Freeplay Start being made by Xiani.
Yes, but he did it in style. I've yet to meet a modder that's done that. Plus, it was a really good combo.
I ain't no modder, I just fixed a thing that really bothered me. Then the SGM team(?) went and removed all the things, instead of fixing them themselves. [editline]7th February 2015[/editline] Also how long did it take for you to give up making your very own gangsta-wield mod?
About a few minutes in when I realized that it would require me to go in and out of the game, which would be a massive pain in the ass with my shit laptop. Same thing with me trying to mod sounds into it and shit. I'll stick to writing and scrapping what I write instead. Less hassle. Maybe when I'm stupid rich and get a decent computer, I'll just buy the STALKER rights, put in ill-fitting music and sounds, replace all the voices with sound bites from old tv shows, and make even more money off of it. I'll even hire you to turn all the guns to the side.

The only thing you have to restart the game for is adding a new weapon to your starting arsenal, if you didn't just decide to add them all in there. Although you might have to tab in and out of the game to set a new value to the hotkey increments when you go from making big changes to small precision alterations and vice versa.

what a manly guy, dry swallowing these pills [editline]8th February 2015[/editline] that's cool as heck i also love that tactically reloading leaves a bullet in the chamber, that's a nice detail
what a manly guy, dry swallowing these pills
He already drank all his vodka in the previous video.

What's up with the guy constantly trying to shoot him self? Is it the effect of the controller? Haven't played COP yet
What's up with the guy constantly trying to shoot him self? Is it the effect of the controller? Haven't played COP yet
That's one of many new features in the upcoming Gunslinger.
I'm going to buy CoP just because of Gunslinger when it comes out.
I'm going to buy CoP just because of Gunslinger when it comes out.
Gunslinger is the DayZee of CoP. I hope it'll make more people get CoP just for the sake of getting Gunslinger, too.
Gunslinger is the DayZee of CoP. I hope it'll make more people get CoP just for the sake of getting Gunslinger, too.
Hopefully though Gunslinger won't be a steaming pile of over loved shit like Dayz.

Gonna be a while, but eventually.
Hopefully though Gunslinger won't be a steaming pile of over loved shit like Dayz.
As long as it comes out and doesn't contain new quality cutscenes of Degtyarev making sweet [del]gay[/del] brotherly love to Strelok at the end and/or dive into exciting backstory about how bandits were turned into bloodsuckers in some dirty basement, it's gonna be good.
To me Gunslinger feels like it is just a weapons mod, like Arsenal mod, and therefore should be tacked onto other mods like Redux/SGM whatever. Same goes for Shoker, 3D scopes would be great on any mod.

It'll be hard to decide between awesome animations in gunslinger or 3D and infrared scopes in shoker... [editline]8th February 2015[/editline]
Too bad Hamza said 3D scopes do not 'fit' gunslinger.
Wasn't that due to excessive scripting or animating obstacles? I remember reading something about how implementing 3D scopes into Gunslinger now would either require rewriting all the scripts they've already written, or redoing the animations, both of which would be a ton of work.
Can you people help me find a mod for Call of Pripyat that adds a lot of weapon attachments? I remember seeing one that let you add different flash supressors, foregrips etc. but I cant remember the name of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
That was the discontinued Arsenal mod (I take you've seen the video with the desert-tan LR300 with a shitload of attachments on youtube?). That mod is long dead, sadly. There's newer mods, though, like the new Arsenal mod
Gunslinger is the DayZee of CoP. I hope it'll make more people get CoP just for the sake of getting Gunslinger, too.
That's an insult. Considering how shit DayZ is.
DayZ isn't shit, it's just buggy and early in development. It's an alpha.
DayZ isn't shit, it's just buggy and early in development. It's an alpha.
More like ~Endless Alpha~. Do you really believe they're going to finish it? My bet is DayZ going to end up like Minecraft - small update which ups build version to 1.0.0 and that's it.

It's not even been two years yet. Most of the time you wouldn't even know the game exists yet. This attitude is one of the things that's wrong with the Early Access model. [editline]9th February 2015[/editline] Anyway this isn't the DayZ thread~~
