I looked it up & no that wasnt it. In the video I saw the guy had an AK that he added flash hiders & wooden grips to etc. The description was in Russian if I remember correctly.

Probably Shoker Weapons Mod. Try the earlier (2.x) version or wait for 3.0 to experience 3D Optics and a bazillion more attachments.

If i recall right didn't Metro 2033 or 2034 have a similiar function when something is controlling you and trying to make you shoot your self?

No. The Dark Ones may have telepathic abilities but they cant make you shoot yourself. However, they can fool you to shoot your friendlies, but thats only on one cutscene
The controller suicide effect combined with some really good audio work could make for a very very creepy effect.

They could fuck you up to the point where you would want to shoot yourself. Main difference is that in Stalker it counts for one fuck of a lot more, Stalker is dynamic. Making free-roaming monsters that mindfuck your character and make you lose control of him is pretty rad. Cutscenes/'aftermath' scenes are meh compared to that.

Also, that whole sequence was a dream iirc.

I'm hoping to do this in the hope that certain mod teams that will remain unmentioned will consider releasing the source code to their new mod binaries, as it benefits everyone, and if we can all share it's all good. Does anyone know where that Russian site with a bunch of small Stalker mods was?
I sorta want to try my hand at Fallout-esqe modding where I combine a bunch of small mods like character/armor remodel and reskin mods and see if it works out (unless of course, which it doesn't and a simple 'it doesn't work like that' would stop me from wasting my time)

I recall how, while I was browsing this site, I saw one of the first versions of my mod that had been stolen. The guy didn't even changed the screenshots, he just choosed some random engrish name instead of Reloaded. That was fun.
I'm convinced all these amazing looking mods are just fantasies that will never be fully released

Nah, gunslinger will be released maybe in 2029, but once you got installed it you will die of awesomeness, literally.....
I have the fear that Frozen Zone get cancelled or cut in a near future, right when the mod seems to be finished, i hope that wont happen

Yeah from what I've seen so far Frozen Zone will be freakin legit! They were supposed to release a new video this month, but now they are saying summer. :(
You know what bothers me? All the CS and CoP mods that have tracers enabled by default on all weapons. Looks really bad.
Can we add a tracer_every_x_rounds to ammo/weapon ltx properties with Open Xray? It'd be nice to make LMGs fire a tracer every 5 or 10 rounds rather than EVERY round.

This is a great idea for realism mods that disable the ammo counter. One could make the few last rounds to be tracer to indicate that the mag is almost empty.
It would be cool if stealth was more of a thing.

Eh, I disagree, I think the tracers make the firefights look pretty nice, especially when it's dark and you see tracers and ricochets flying everywhere. Thankfully it's easy to switch on and off on a caliber basis but I'd say that the ballistics system would lose like half it's worth if there weren't any tracers.

I think that tracers look pretty red-ish in CS/CoP but idk.

I was mainly referring to the fact that you can look at your own fat yellow tracers as you shoot. Also most of the tracers should be green/red instead of yellow also.
