Yeah, some of the older signs look like they were made with a potato. In any event, if you do decide to use a stencil font on a variant I recommend this one: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/?content=98985
Ok Im wanting to play Call of Pripyat with some mods. Im stuck inbetween AMK, One of the Modded Miserys, and SGM (or any other recommendations). Which would be better for a more exploration type game where I rather explore and hunt anomalys? I couldn't think of a better place to ask than here with way more experienced Stalker players.

[editline]13th February 2015[/editline] It's indeed much better with this font:
So, are these modded textures compressed?
So, are these modded textures compressed?
Yep. I usually work with 2048x2048 files then the finished texture is downscaled to 1024² or lower according to the size of the model that's using it. The radiation sign for example is 1024². [editline]13th February 2015[/editline] And since I am In the mood tonight I've also finished that stop sign I was working on a while ago: (And the original texture)
Quick question. Doesn't anyone have the Lurk 1.1 SKS animations converted to CS or COP? I've been screwing around for weeks trying to port animations in CS/COP and can't figure it out. Must be some type of witch craft or something to get it working. Figure I'd ask on here since there some active modders.
Yeah I remembed this video. Made me want to get 32GB or RAM
I could go 32GB any time I want but realistically I have no need at all for it. 16GB is pretty overkill unless you are doing video editing, running servers or doing VM work.

Are you interested in doing more of this kind of thing? [editline]13th February 2015[/editline] also there's a cheap STALKER bundle on sale, prepare for an influx of rookies asking how to install Complete or Misery.
Why does no one ask my texturing aid *sadface* I do have to admit, really nice textures C_S. Have you followed some online course or are you self thaught?
Why does no one ask my texturing aid *sadface* I do have to admit, really nice textures C_S. Have you followed some online course or are you self thought?
well I kind of imagined you'd be a bit busy mate
well I kind of imagined you'd be a bit busy mate
It's ok man. School is going swell these days. So, if you need some texturing help, I'll be glad to help. Also, I see you've tried reasoning a bit with /sg/. What a bunch of fucktards. I like the most left one. They're indeed a tad big, but, that's no biggie. I don't really bother myself with little details like that, because I can always change it if it bothers me too much at release! Cheers

It's all WiP so it's funny when people get worked up.
flaming blowouts, anyone? http://www.upi.com/Science_News/2015/02/09/Wildfires-in-Ukraine-could-revive-Chernobyls-radiation/9311423493119/
Whats a good mod that "enhances" Clear Skies gameplay? Like pistols using ironsights and such?
Whats a good mod that "enhances" Clear Skies gameplay? Like pistols using ironsights and such?
STALKER CLEAR SKY COMPLETE MOD TOTAL ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM HYPER ENHANCEMENTS
We need someone to write up some mod guides or something. Some sort of article that lists a bunch of the bigger mods and has a basic description so people can compare, as well as links. It looks like there are some for SoC, but not CS or CoP yet. What would be the best place to start that, a Pastebin? I might get something going later this weekend if I have time.
Whats a good mod that "enhances" Clear Skies gameplay? Like pistols using ironsights and such?
Try Sky Reclamation Project.
Whats a good mod that "enhances" Clear Skies gameplay? Like pistols using ironsights and such?
Second for Clear Sky Reclamation project. Honestly, I don't think you can play through the entire game without it, v.10 is still buggy as hell. There is alot of optional additions and it fixes that iron site problem.

that's really neat, shame about the useless 3:00 of footage before the animations though
cheeki breeki i v damke gentlemen Gunslinger would be so much more fun if I hadn't the whole fucking game memorized. It's not very dynamic like say M&B so if you complete it 5 times it gets a bit dull.
That's why gunslinger and call of chernobyl will be the perfect combo. I'm not sure I can hold my excitement till 2240 though
I hate to ask a real dumb question, but I could use a little help. I want to create an icon equipment dds for my ui folder in textures. I just need the blank page with all the squares so I can add weapons etc onto it. I have the icon tool so I can get the x and y coordinates. It is for ShoC if that make any difference.

It is for ShoC if that make any difference.
If you just want a blank .dds by squares, there's generally a function in most raster editors (GIMP, Photoshop, Paint.NET) that lets you overlay a grid. I use GIMP, personally, where you can turn the grid on in View>Show Grid and change its settings in Image>Configure Grid [t]http://puu.sh/fVpcp/27f0dec4fb.png[/t] Note that since the grid is 50x50 and the texture size is 1024x1024 they don't line up entirely - this is normal. You'll always be wanting your .dds files to have its dimensions be a power of 2 (in practical terms 1024 or 2048) otherwise it will be distorted in game. When saving ui_icon_equipment.dds, make sure you save it without Mipmaps and using the DXT5 codec. If you've got any other questions feel free to ask, and I'd love to see what you're doing with the .dds if you're fine with posting it. Good luck! (Oh, and if you're not using GIMP, just google "[PROGRAM] Grid" and you should find instructions on how to replicate the effect in the program)

I want to add some more weapons to a little merge I have been working on and add some neater weapons icons. I will come back to you if I hit any snags.
Etc, you still up for doing those icons for Vanilla+?
Sure, send me the models and I'll whip something up.
How do you disable that stupid invisible wall around NPCs? In Clear Sky its nearly unbearable because of how much they much they move you around and get you stuck in stuff.
