Damn it Lost Alpha
Apparently deep ass mines are not a blowout shelter. The whole Sin faction died.
At least I won't have to walk a thousand miles throught their mines to turn in a quest now.
More effective melee, finally. It'll be nice to be able to dispatch mutants without wasting ammo when you don't need to. The knife can work, but it's usually too risky.
SGM does, but it's a big mod that changes a load of things. Can't think of any that are just the transitions alone though. Maybe Misery, but again, big mod with loads of changes.
Yeah that's fine, is this good? http://www.moddb.com/games/stalker-call-of-pripyat/downloads/sgm-22-english-all-in-one

the literal definition of clutter

7 different AK-74s
6 AKMs
6 AKS-74Us
I'm using Arsenal in Pripyat and holy fuck I just keep collecting guns to store.
It's bad

The game can rarely even threaten you and quicksave makes you even more God-Like. (There is another very wrong end of the that spectrum though, we call that Misery.)
nevermind, found my answer on a previous page.

A few days ago I uninstalled Autumn Aurora after reaching half way trough Red Forest.
I just had enough and I'll write here first what my major gripe with it was.
Too much realism.
Not that I didn't like the over-realism, quite the contrary.
As well as the team did balance the gunplay; in the end it just didn't clash together with the new visual overhaul.
Whereas the maps did look marvelous in their new lusciousness: they ended ended up making the gunplay almost 95% trial, when the enemies were deadshot accurate and would most certainly be covered by dense foliage.
One thing that wouldn't had detracted too much from realism would've been giving factions coloured arm-bands and perhaps even small matching colour highlights to their gear.
It just doesn't feel good having to switch to the binoculars in a firefight to make out where the hell your opponents are.
Doesn't help that bullets have gotten their fair treatment of realism and thus are invisible and fly at real life matching speeds. It wouldn't have hurt to turn down the realism there and give the bullets a slower travel-time and tracers.
So you get instantly killed by bullets that you can hardly tell where they come from, shot by enemies that you can barely see.
That killed AA for me.

Isn't it possible to change this yourself from the config files?

But it's quite a hassle to do that for all the weapons individually.
And I also forgot another point.
The ENB that's issued with AA2:
As nice as it looks; the depth of field makes seeing the already obscured enemies even more cumbersome if you have your sights aligned on something else.
And it also renders night-vision goggles totally useless.
Although that's an easier fix.

Alien vs....Degtyarev?
The xenomorphs show up in the weirdest places. I was playing Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines with a mod and it randomly replaced some later enemies with them. It was confusing to say the least.

I got Aliens and Predators through the Fallout: New Vegas mod, Monster Mod. It even adds STALKER creatures like Snorks and boars.
Honestly I like all of the little mostly useless items in misery.
It sounds stupid but it helps with muh immersion when I can go out with some field cutlery, a pocket knife, and a bundle of rope in my inventory.

Didn't we all agree on not posting anything unrelated to stalker in here? If Exo is getting shit for it, we shouldn't do the same, either. It doesn't matter if it's politics, or another game.

It makes sense, too. People aren't going to be running around with just 6 bullets and an almost broken gun. If everyone's scavenging like the player is then their inventory will be full of all sorts of weird stuff.

6 bullets, an almost broken gun, and a pair of soiled underpants?

It'd be funny if rookies and inexperienced stalkers actually had more stuff in the inventories because they're just grabbing everything, not know what's valuable and what isn't. :v:
The the thing is in STALKER I would assume that people dont always have a spot they can safely store their shit. One would think a lot of the time a stalker would be living out of their pack, in which case they probably have things like field cutlery, maybe a metal plate or something, and generally the kind of things you would carry if you were out camping.

People weren't very supportive, so I get why he'd do that.
