S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread: "A Typical Day In The Zone"
It is up to the player who to become. Whether he turns into the enemy number one in the Zone or a noble rescuer, or maybe an invisible stalker, agitatedly rumoured by Zone explorers. Immense equipment variations, countless alternatives of behaviour in tough situations, where the decision will determine game characters' life, as well as the changing world.

Gotta admit those sons of bitches were extremely good at the internets hype
What's a good mod to use for COP that's not SGM? I'm about midway through my 3rd play-through (vanilla) after reinstalling
1st:Vanilla
2nd: SGM
3rd: Vanilla
Misery with Les Miserable and that Arsenal addition work pretty well. Les Miserable makes the mod a bit less grindy and more fair, while the arsenal mod adds a ton of new weapons and I think suits will be added soon as well. They're not 100% compatible, but I somehow managed to get them working by having Misery, then Les Mis, then Arsenal, I think.

It's here!
The sawn off version is what the SSG should look like in doom 4
EDIT:
oh my god headlamp turn on anims
Have a look at these real life gloves, in Stalker faction colours.

Would be good for airsoft or cosplay.

I think the green and the red are far too bright, and the bandit one should be darker, but the Merc one is pretty nice.
I'd get them if they were reasonably priced, at least comparing them to things like actual OMON or Spetsnaz gloves. I'd totally get a Duty pair just for kicks, even though I'm a fan of Freedom.
I also managed to complete a bunch of quests in Yanov (respawning a dozen monolith at the Jupiter plant is absurd though), and it let me go back to Zaton with the ability to come back to Yanov, so no more save glitch there. The problem I have now is I can't participate in anomalous research because the game crashes whenever I talk to the guy. At least I'm not trapped unable to go to Pripyat now.
Lol Alun, i already made those for misery.
Also, this stalker turned 19 today!
Happy birthday mate! Hope you have all the vodka round the campfire you can handle.

Happy birthday S.T.A.L.K.E.R.!
Does anyone else get like 5 fps in latest OGSE when looking at soft particles and reflective asphalt in rain from up close? I can run Crysis 3 on all ultras smoothly, but had to disable most of the more advanced settings in OGSE to run it as smooth.
what do you guys think of making tushkano have much larger packs, but making them very easy to kill and only do small amounts of damage individually?
If you're increasing the number of rat A-Life with the effect of an individual rat being diminished, you're basically making a trade of either having less A-Life on the map that's something else than rats or having it impact the performance which is already an issue in CoP-based mods. I don't know how much it would actually affect performance, but imo I'd personally try to achieve more with less, i.e keep the Tushkanos overall the same way they were in original Redux, but use them effectively, i.e keep them in mainly tight quarters that are also dark spaces, like sewers and basements or areas where the player doesn't have a whole lot of freedom of movement, i.e the Jupiter factory indoors and keep the rats to the same relative strength as they were in Redux.

Reflective asphalt is very heavy. I think it's some weird overly complex SSR...
Plus it is stuff hacked into an engine that really isn't made for it :v:

There, a little easy to use pack to get OGSE running on Steam copies of SoC
Have fun

If you play this mod, don't enter agroprom through the southeast level changer otherwise you get these guys, they are omnipotent and follow you everywhere

I saw a gog.dll in the cop version so I assume it's the gog versions.
Installed the latest Autumn Aurora. It's looking pretty good and they appear to have gotten rid of most of the daft model ports.

'Hard at Work'
I apologise for putting up yet another picture of the Skadovsk - we have been working on other stuff, but nothing that makes for a great screenshot. Still, we're happy with how Cardan's workshop looks in game, and we think between it and the new missions we've written for Cardan, we've really expanded him as a character.
We're fast approaching the moment you've been waiting for, our rebranding relaunch! Keep a close eye on the ModDB page next weekend, as we have a lot of exciting stuff in store...
It's interesting what a little perspective change, some different clutter, and lighting can do to such a familiar place.
well, it's a new room, but yeah I know what you mean!

I was told to say: "All of the repacks are 100% retail versions with absolutely zero steam on top of them, so there's a 0% chance of "vsync forever" ever occuring"

Not enough bottles of vodka.
Not enough bottles of vodka.
The first time around I littered the Skadovsk with crates of vodka. Turns out the export process did not like that, and we had to cut numbers down to what you see here.

there's one by his feet, one on the shelf behind him and one on the desk ;)

Thanks, should try them asap.
