If anyone could provide me links with anything pertaining to the metro 2033 stuff, that'd be great.
EDIT:
Nvm, I found it.

Get down from there.
-Snip wrong thread-
Reminds me of the time I drove to the car park with some car near the village, and the Bandits just flipped it over with me in it instead of trying to shoot me.
New LA: DC video.

The framerate really bothers me.

I really hope they removed that retarded drunken effect. I always have to just wait it out or sleep trough it because it's simply annoying and give me a headache and makes me feel natious
I mostly hope they redesigned some of the missions(Dead City in particular was disappointing), removed some of the unskippable in-game cutscenes and added some plot failsafes and a little hostile human A-Life(plus fixed the smart_terrains and A.I nodes in particular).
I loved the atmosphere in the game, but just wish there was more chance to get into spontaneous firefights, since those are a great thing in the series.
Hell just remove the story from LA and make it a freeroam mod. I'd rather have some really basic plot like "Get to the center of the Zone" with redoable missions to do for cash/gear.
It would be cool if some mods made areas that are straight up inaccessible without a suit to protect you from radiation. I mean like some crack in the earth somewhere that is really radioactive, but that has some loot behind it. It would also be nice if you could get rid of the screen brightness shit when you are in an irradiated area, because the static is enough.

I asked about A-Life on the vid
spawns/respawns were increased, and hopefully alife reaction will be better too. the guys start to freeroam only after a certain event in the storyline, except for the small groups which we added with the 3rd patch.
Too bad you have to do some of the story for it but if it's decent enough A-Life i could live with it
I kinda wish the tech progression in Stalker was stretched out a little bit more.
I just got out of the Garbage in Clear Sky and I've already gotten a upgraded AN94 (which according to the wiki, surpasses even some NATO rifles) a fully upgraded m1911, a SEVA suit, and a veles detector with enough AP ammo to deal with any higher level dudes.
I just wish that the majority of the weapons in the game weren't complete trash (or at least aren't easily replaced). I always kind of liked the low-tech shit tier guns in these games which is the only reason why I'm carrying a TOZ w/ flechettes instead of a mossberg.

Nothing like the good old days just wandering around the Cordon with your Makarov and 3,000 rounds of 9x18mm (and not realizing ammo has weight). Fighting it out with those damned bandits and mutants. The feeling of excitement when you make your first run back to Sidorovich with your 500 semi-used Makarovs and 8 million rounds of 9x18mm quickly followed by disappointment when you find out they're only worth about 300 rubles. Yep, those were the days.

Yeah, I think once you've figured these games out you're not going to be challenged unless a mod really goes into unfair territory. Even with Misery or Redux's tough economies I'm usually fine on gear after an hour or so, usually less. You just learn how to scavenge and make rubles and once you know how to do that, you can't unlearn it.
Are there any mods/tweaks that disable the delay between hovering an item and seeing it's info pop up for Clear Sky? It's really annoying having to wait 1 second just to see a small bit of information sometimes.

I thought people didn't like absolute gear checks.

Eh, assuming the base for the game is decent (the maps have less fucked smart_terrains and the A.I nodes are decent), someone'll make Xiani's Lost Alpha but having missions (as long as they don't completely grid-lock the gameplay) is a nice thing, it gives the game structure and a sense of progress.

I suppose what I mean is that there should be just a few more places to explore, and that those places should have dangers other than bandits or mutants because thats what most places seem to have.
Been playing Survarium recently. A lot less lag compared to before and I can actually connect most of my shots now.
The radio songs in SGM 2.2 are so bad it's good......anyone happen to know/have the playlist? I can copy/paste the audio files but they don't have artist/song names.

God knows how many times I threw on every Jellyfish I found and randomly started dieing when I first played STALKER.
Ironically, it was for that reason I gave up on STALKER for a month, and the same reason I ended up going back and spending so much time playing it.

My first experience with radiation was that crashed truck in the cordon with a stash inside. I sculled all my vodka, took all my shots and ran in there and died.

In my first playtrough, I didn't use any artifacts at all because I didn't know they were supposed to be more than new age jewels. Sometimes I am so oblivious it hurts.
My first experience with STALKER actually went well, except that I bull-rushed the main story and got really upset when my ending was just dying to the wish granter.
I picked it up about a year later, got the real endings, and from then on it was one of my favorite games. I'm just quietly holding out for a Lost Alpha free-roam edition or the like - I'm 100% burned out on the stock levels from SoC and CoP. Some of the stuff at the end of CS was interesting, but also quite linear.
Radiation was never an issue for me because I tend to be a horder in these types of games and vanilla balance was a bit wonky. Always having 20+ anti-rads and enough vodka to make the game nearly tank if I hit drop all.
you know, i never knew that there were real endings to SHOC. i've always just brainlessly followed the pdas and apparently, [sp]if you haven't spoken to guide before you check out strelok's stash in agroprom you're locked into the wishgranter endings[/sp], which would explain a lot to me.
STALKER RoH site is updated.

Yup, that happened to me the first time as well. Funny enough the waypoint that [sp] showed me where the Guide was didn't work the first time it popped up so I ignored it, carried on with the other missions and got the Greedy Wishgranter ending[/sp]
I then read the wiki to learn more about the lore and stuff in the game and was like "What the fuck man, I missed so much!"
Ended up reloading a earlier point in my campaign and played it through to get the other ending.

Unless you [sp]Pry open the codelocked door with a Gauss rifle[/sp].
Small concept update on the Phantom Zone ModDB page.
IMO this is one of the more promising SHoC rebuilds, but who knows when this will be out. Taking a lot fo cues from 2033, which isn't a bad thing...

That Pseudogiant looks really, really, really out of place.
