http://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/the-woman-who-ate-chernobyl-s-apples
it's legal to just enter the zone? why didn't i know this already?
That article is misleading, it's definitely not ok to just waltz in. You need the government-supplied passes and authorisation, and you have to enter through the checkpoints and be scanned for radioactivity when you leave.

the guide on my private tour to the Zone ate an apple right off the tree at the Jupiter Plant, I wasn't sure if he did it to every tour he takes just to freak them out, or if he was just hungry
Radiation love water and metal.

Does Hispano Patcher not work with the GOG version of SHOC? Seems to have no effect but then again I can't read spanish at all.
[editline]24th April 2015[/editline]
I can install patches 1.0004 and 6 but not 5 for some reason.
isnt 5 the steam version?
They updated to 1.0006 I think a month or so ago.
They updated to 1.0006 I think a month or so ago.
... a month?
It's been like this since last year.
I did it manually and it's worked fine though still getting random crashes with Legendary mod even with all the patches etc. Not that it's that much of a pain or that often but I remember it being more stable way back when.

Any time is a month to me these days.

This repository contains full gamedata of all three games (excluding the engine), as well as full upload of GSC's backup HDD, archived of course, because unpacked it would take over 50GB, so it's all 12GB instead.
First three folders contain completely raw unpacked gamedata, accumulating over 75000 files all together. You can now cherrypick every single file you ever wanted from these folders and work on it without any hassle associated with converting a heckton of archives just to get one single file you want to work on. You can also get the entire set with Ctrl+A, right-clicking and downloading as ZIP.
The folder labelled "GSC Backup HDD" contains all possible raw game assets, used and unused, for production of unreleased and official stalker builds such as objects, terrains, textures and unreleased, even experimental maps. You might need some third-party modding tools and the official SDK to utilize those.

Kома: they can also use separate unpacked patches for their already owned game releases https://mega.co.nz/#F!M4BmDRCL!vfze70GSJDyv-HzWn7Dwww
Kома: it's kind of a steam unfucker patch
Kома: and it's also accessible from the Utilities section in the Repacks MEGA repo

So the files in the "GSC Backup HDD" are all source files for game content like model/animation/texture/etc source files?
So the files in the "GSC Backup HDD" are all source files for game content like model/animation/texture/etc source files?
Yes
So the files in the "GSC Backup HDD" are all source files for game content like model/animation/texture/etc source files?
Partially already precompiled files which can be used even with current SDK releases (including animations and models) if you're lucky, and partially source files. The entire folder structure of that thing is so vague that it's really hard to tell, but some raw TGA textures have been spotted.

'When it's done' as always! Quality comes first. If you know any 3D modellers, that would speed things up.

shame the S.T.A.L.K.E.R Mod Player never made it out of Greenlight Concepts as it looked promising thne disapeared . http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=263727860
Imagine all the Russian scams that would be on there if STALKER got paid mod support. The workshop would crash and the pages would be unintelligible when it was up.
