Oh god what.
That is some wizardry right there. How do you come up with this stuff? :v:
What are the bigger mods that are being released soon? I remember there being one coming out for Clear Sky that was gonna be really good.
finished with university!
let the modding commence

Played on Rookie so that I would have better chance of recording without dying. Those are vanilla guns since OWR 2.1 was removed.
Something I forgot to show in the video is that companions can be ordererd with key press commands. Such as cycling through Passive, Aggressive and Assist mode. You can also tell them to wait or follow. The keybinds can be rebound through a new config.
The video descriptions explain a lot more.
Just curious, why was OWR removed? Also I'm guessing that means the community will have to do a weapon merge themselves when we get that open beta

Congrats Bro!

I'm okay with this since I prefer the consistency of Vanilla's models and animals compared to most weapon packs.

I'll assume weapon merges will appear mighty quick once the beta releases.

Because on just about every video there were comments mentioning the broken wrists. OWR 2.1 had problems because r_populik had copyright complaints against him and removed a lot of good stuff that was in 2.0. Also we thought Gunsligher and UWR (Now called Radium) was coming out soon so it would be better just to leave weapons untouched.
How does one deal with the psionic midget men?
One of the fuckers pulled my heavily modified shotgun away and clipped it into the scenery, never to be seen again.

the only way he can take your knife is to the ribs, or else from your cold, dead hands
Found out [sp]I am Strelok[/sp]. Well damn son
I remember going to the [sp]Strelok[/sp] page on the Stalker wiki to try and brush up on some things I heard in the game and it said [sp]STRELOK, ALSO KNOWN AS MARKED ONE[/sp]
I was so pissed.

This happened to me literally a minute before actually reaching the part in the game where it was revealed.

Ugh, dropped my expensive new gun on the ground at Yanov Station to get a better look at it, someone started shooting outside which caused someone else to run over and jack my gun and run outside to use it.
Just got back into STALKER after not touching the series for like...2 or 3 years? I remember really liking SGM, but there's like 5 different versions in the repository, what are the differences between them?

quicksave is your friend
How do you stop the game from stuttering
With great difficulty.
But really, one way to slightly remedy the issue is to add '-noprefetch' to the launch options.

What does that do? Thank u
I moved game to SSD to reduce the stuttering lag durations, but it didn't decrease them. It just made them a little more bearable.
I just learned to deal with it. The only times I start stuttering is entering a highly populated area like the Bar or Yanov Station.

Hadn't saved in almost an hour. :suicide:
What's everyones favorite mod for each of the three games?
Despite people telling how artifically difficult Misery 2 is i loved it.
It was difficult, but i learned to live with it. Beginning was worst tho.

Is there any mods that make it so enemies die just as fast as you do? I feel the vanilla game has enemies acting as bullet sponges.

That's called Master difficulty. It's hard as hell at first but once you get used to it, it's really the only way to play stalker. If even that is too bullet spongey (which it shouldn't be, a few rounds from a pistol is usually enough to drop a bandit), you can edit the damage resistance values of the enemies in the game files.

Use master difficulty
The only game that has bullet sponge enemies is CS

If you have 16GB+ RAM you can install the game directly onto your RAM and play it from there. I've done it before and it is stupidly fast with <10s loading screens.
Do you guys think this game would be playable with a controller? I know when the Steam Controller releases it will allow all games to be played and people to create configs for controls and share them.
STALKER is a game I would love to play with a controller on the couch or in bed the odd time.
nope
