Use master difficulty
The only game that has bullet sponge enemies is CS
I am using master difficulty but I'm playing CS, so.
Master difficulty can actually be easier depending on how well you do in fps games.
Fights become more high risk high reward.
1 shot to your head = dead. 1 shot to your fellow suka cheeki breeki head = dead.
But if you can't use your surroundings and can't stay aware of every enemy to carefully turn 1 v multiple enemy fights into multiple 1v1 fights then you probably will just ragequit from the constant dying.

But that's the thing. I can shoot an enemy in the head and they just don't care. They definitely get hit, too.

Use better bullets. If they got average armor a little 9mm to the head wont kill.
Use some armor penetrating nato rounds and i'm pretty sure your enemies will fly in a funny little arc.

Some things to remember for Clear Sky :
NPCs are invulnerable to damage during special animations, like when recoiling from being hit and vaulting over obstacles. Buckshot is also ridiculously ineffective.

Helmeted enemies can take an assault rifle hit to the head and survive, sometimes multiple.

They don't take damage when they're being shot? What the
Latest screens from the Lost World - Quantum mod for ShoC, these are still in the testing phase. Thanks to Lagos and Audron and all at LWC for letting me share these.
I don't know what has happened to make the trees bend like this, well it is the Zone.

That looks cool as hell, but i don't know if you can come up with any realistic explanation as to why would they bend like that.

Perhaps some sort of gravitational anomaly, just a guess.

Well, the Zone's literally the result of an explosion of reality-defying psi-energy that was able to reshape the bloody landscape of the area, so really anything is game.
it's actually kind of shocking how not fucked up the Zone is considering the consistency of physics in there. it's pretty lucky the sun even sets in the same place as it does outside
You could have posted original images tho btw:

Tfw you leave your pkm and rockets at skadovsk and your rpg and mg ammo in pripyat before trying to kill a bunch of exoskeleton monolith and keep your brain dead army buddies alive(they throw grenades indoors without regard for ceilings)

The soldiers are impossible to save for their good ending, I've found. Even when I constantly save-scummed to save all of them during the Gauss gun fight they chuck grenades at themselves. And then during the final evacuation they drop grenades at their feet that kills themselves, Strelok, and everyone else.
What's you all's favorite CoP mod? Misery is supposedly too artificial?
So did any great mod get released these last months? Last one I played was Autumn Aurora
Favourite CoP mod? Hard to say, but it's a toss between P.R.I.P.Y.A.T.A.N GOLD and SGM 2.3 (or was it 2.2?). The former is less crazy while the latter is all the crazy.
Nope. Still waiting on everything.

Call of Chernobyl is getting an open beta soon(tm)

Personally hyped most for OGSE. Wormwood's a long way so it's kinda like Episode Three to me at this point. I'll get hyped when it's released :v:

Additionally, one of those "special animations" is the recoil/flinch animation they play when shot.
Try it out-- go up to a bandit on full auto, spray him down, and then do it on single fire with a bit of time between shots. You'll use far fewer bullets the second way.

Could you trade with them before the mission and buy all their grenades up?
How a sight should look

Isn't Pripyatan the one that gives exo bandits tribal imagery on their armor or am I thinking of SMP.

As per the Squad system goes, you can only talk to the leaders and even then when you trade with people, they'll offer a random assortment of their items to trade, not all they have IIRC.

SGM has a lot of custom quests, many of which are more fun than many Vanilla CS/CoP quests.

SMP is a ShoC mod :v: Which is actually fun in its own right if you can make it work.

I have long disliked the final stages of Shadow of Chernobyl due to how much of a constant enemy gauntlet it is, without much other challenge. However, lately I've grown more and more fond of it mostly due to the atmosphere that in retrospect was pretty nice if you took a moment in the constant firefighting and chaos to enjoy.

It's just so fucking ominous, man. Sure, it's just simple beckoning, but you never encounter stuff like this before in the game. The almost echo-like voices in the background, the Monolith's calls and the constant geiger ticking makes you feel like you're really in the vicinity of something mind-bogglingly strange, even eldritch in a sense. After you realize the story, the fact that it's all due to [sp]the noosphere, which is more or less all thanks to humanity[/sp] makes it even more terrifying in a sense. That [sp]mankind's collective psyche, when distorted[/sp] could create something like this, gives a sense of dread for yourself and everyone else, if only by relation.
