I don't give a shit if it was just a glorified RDM on a huge map, that was amazing. I was literally rolling with a group of 4 guys in freedom exploring the combined maps but they were all russian - so my only method of communication with them was the ingame voice commands, and yet we made it work. got into a few firefights with mercs where I almost died but we survived for quite a while. Honestly I feel trying this test has shown me once RoH is fully featured with Alife and time of day, quests and factions, etc. it's going to be the most amazing thing ever made. Hell, the map for the test is massive and could easily be used as a base for somebody to fill it up with content for a STALKER 2-type game world. It's sure nice to see a glimpse of the scale RoH is going to offer, but apart from that there weren't alot of features or anything new really. Guess all of that will come when the actual public beta begins.

I just played Shadow of Chernobyl for the first time and fucked up hard. I walked too close to the military patrols at the beginning and they came and wiped out the whole rookie camp... It is stalker. You never know what can happen. In call of pripyat game when a friend played it his first area got overpopulated by mutants. He killed a couple of duty and stalker groups and thus mutants managed to overrun whole area. Every time he went outside he had to face hoardes of dogs, boars and shit.

I wanted them to come close enough so that I could kill them, but they stayed there hiding behind the trees, so I thought i'd just give up and go back to the rookie camp, but [I]nope[/I], they came over to the camp and I had the cheekiest fucking grin on my face because I knew those rifles would be mine, but I didn't realize at what cost.... I tried to help out the other rookies, while also swiftly taking phat loots from the bodies and selling it to the trader; but on my third trip to the trader I walked back into town only to see a military guard yelling at me and trying to shoot me, so I ran away to hide in the traders bunker until they cleared out. And then I looted the rest of the body, and l looked around at all the carnage and felt lonely; I honestly thought I broke the game! Those bastard soldiers even went over to the bandit camp and killed that one peaceful dude playing the guitar! This one experienced guy came back to town though as the main guard brandishing a rifle; gives me some hope. :xfiles:

Is there an equivalent of Autumn Aurora 2 for CoP? Something that adds suit visors, better weapon anims and changes the game visually a bit? I installed misery 2.1.1 just to give it a shot + that gun mod for it and after a little bit of playing, everything in it just seems like it's needlessly convoluted, not really to my taste. Basically I want a mod that adds good suit visors/breathing and weapons like AO.
