What's with the bullet spray patterns? The guns seem equally accurate when hip firing compared to iron sights. If anything it feels harder to aim properly with the iron sights.

The base dispersion of the weapon, which means that even ignoring all the other special conditions, the weapons have a set dispersion that affects their accuracy.

Also is there a freeplay mod that has things like forcing you to put your weapon away when using bandages and medkits? Zone Manual author here, just added a section on troubleshooting crashes to help the newbies. Anyone have recommendations on stuff I can add for troubleshooting the infamous "stack trace: " crashes, or a better (preferably SoC related) crash I can use for the example at the end? Also any new mods worth adding to the guide? Seems pretty dead all around.
I keep getting a crash after installing that Spectrum mod plus it's 2014 translation. Is there something else you need to do when installing other than drag and drop? I'm getting this error: Expression : file_handle_internal(file_name, *buffer_size, file_handle) Function : FileDownload File : D:\prog_repository\sources\trunk\xrCore\FS.cpp Line : 169 Description : can't open file : Arguments : c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\stalker call of pripyat\gamedata\textures\item\item_?4.thm The actual file name looks like it's item_c4.thm.
Odd, it just worked for me. Did you include the new bin files as well when you extracted it?
Yeah, I extracted everything. I'll try a fresh install of CoP just in case. I tried installing Spectrum before, but it wasn't from the torrent, just the link on the Russian forum itself, so maybe it got corrupted or I got the wrong version or something. EDIT: Got it working, just had to reinstall CoP and do a fresh install of the mod. It's nice to play something a little different and get some different maps and stuff in there. I like CoP but I'm super bored of the default 3 maps.

I get "connection error: Invalid host" when trying to join Ray of Hope. Is it down or what?
So, I'm still trying to figure out how to make exported .ogfs not crash the game, but for now I've gotten a flow working for importing animations and shit, so hopefully I can begin to make new gun animations and clean up the lacking character ones as well. For proof, I present the ultimate cheeki breeki animation. Hopefully I can figure out how to make exported files not crash horribly. Okay so for realies, here is an actual animation, just as a proof of concept of getting shit working. I haven't animated in a few months so I'm very rusty, and the last shotgun I did months ago was way better than this. So give me a few days to keep tackling this and I promise whatever I make will be better than what I've done right now. Yes those sounds are custom and part of something I'll be showing soon enough. Man watching this after animating it, I can see all the issues, its too smooth and lacks any force, but at least its "clean" without any obvious errors or jiggling, I got to be honest I really don't like the original shotgun animation in any of the games so I like to think this is an improvement for now.
