tecnobacon is a wizard getting soup as stable as it is
I found some stalkers sharing a tender moment together by the campfire [T]http://i.imgur.com/ua7pAnv.jpg[/T]
Shame about the butt ugly weapon models.
Honestly It's not the weapon models so much as the hand proportions and the textures being designed for a static lighting renderer around 02/3. If you look at mods like phantoms zone they add proper spec maps and the guns look pretty good.

If so, you can probably just use SoCPUP to unpack/repack it as an English .DB
nah its a gamedata folder, but the game throws some error about the xml files not being in english
You didn't think I was stopping at just new stalker models and guns did you? Video has slight de-sync. All sounds shown are subject to change, reload sounds and other various sound effects (foot-steps) will also be changed.
I've come across quite a few affectionate bandits [t]http://i.imgur.com/TT9g9Wa.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/BeIYInR.jpg[/t]
Or maybe you are a pervert with necrophilic voyeurist desires and you actually set them up like that....yes, that's what happened here.
Does it matter which game I play first and if not... which one should I play first?
Does it matter which game I play first and if not... which one should I play first?
Well, I personally think playing in release order is a good idea, gameplay wise. But you can always start with the last one, Call of Pripyat. It works well and with only a few important bugs, but won't need some fix-mod for it.
For the sake of not spoiling the story, you should atleast play ShoC and CoP in release order.
Does it matter which game I play first and if not... which one should I play first?
Play SoC first. Then Clear Sky and then CoP.
I know this is late video, but i just wanted to comment on how good this sounds. Makes me go all hype about Ray of hope getting closer and closer to dream of coop stalker. [vid]http://cdn.dbolical.com/cache/videos/mods/1/27/26458/encode_mp4/montee-ray-of-hope.mp4[/vid]
Mouse speed seems to be rather low even on max.

I have re-entered the Soup. I'd forgotten how ugly it looks a lot of the time, what's with those ugly white camo sleeves on half the guns? I might need to try and throw the Absolute Texture Pack or something over this,
Is it common for NPCs to shoot randomly to create atmospheric tension? I was in the wild zone near the duty base and I heard gunfire coming from the entrance, so I ran over to see what all the fuss was about and one of them was shooting right past his buddy at a wall, over and over again. And he seemed to be the only one who cared about shooting the hell out of that wall. I was investigating it and didn't find a trace of any enemies!
I remember trying to play the Soup a while back and it brought my computer to its knees. It was for the most part okay in open areas but having a lot of NPCs like at the bar makes it stutter like crazy. And artifacts for some reason had a blinding light that lagged hardcore and that was one of the things that made me quit it. Have any of those been fixed, or am I just being an idiot for overlooking settings somewhere?
Hey guys. Plan on playing Clear Sky soon, what would be the best mod to use? I've not played it in a few years and I heard that Clear Sky: Reloaded is pretty good, should I use that?

It would be really cool to see some fucked up plants in the zone. Aside from a few anomalies, all you really see are some twisted trees, where everything else is either just dead or normal. Some weird ass mutant plants would make the zone feel less normal.

I still get one-shotted a lot, but at least I don't crash while loading/saving anymore.

OLR 2.5 has those fucking things as well and they are terrifying because you can't see them then they pop up and snare you and slice you to bits. They are good mutant traps though if you know where they are
