is it just me that can't stand this recent trend of 'cheeki le breeki lal' where people just replace words with cheeki and breeki and think it makes it an epic stalker meme?
"You play S.T.A.L.K.E.R.?" "no" It hurts my soul.
A little update for those interested: I had more important things to do so I couldn't finish up the weapons, but so far the following OWR 3 weapons are in and unless otherwise noted function the same as they did in vanilla. AN-94 AK74 AK74U - Snag's comes with a Kobra sight and fixed suppressor, a departure from vanilla. Beretta BM16 1911 DEagle - Nimble's comes with a different skin but functions as in vanilla. FN2000 - OWR 3 replaces this with the Aug and makes the FN2k only available through Nimble, I'm not using the Aug and it's FN2000s for everyone as in vanilla. Fort - Snag's has a different skin but functions as in vanilla. G36 - OWR 3 replaces the one available through Nimble with the XM8, I left that out. Gauss Rifle Groza - Can no longer support a suppressor or a scope. Nimble's comes with a fixed scope to make up for it. Browning HP L85 - In vanilla it was possible to make this weapon accept a grenade launcher by editing a couple lines in the config. This is no longer possible but doesn't really matter since by default it had no option to mount it. LR300 - Is now an M4, functionally identical to vanilla's ZM LR300. H&K MP5 - Changed Nimble's to the UMP 45 option included in OWR 3, lowered mag size to 25, otherwise functionally identical to vanilla. OWR 3's UMP 45 supports mounting scopes but I left that out. PB PKM - Can now use iron sights or the Kobra sight on Zulu's, otherwise work as in vanilla. PM Protecta - Nimble's comes with a different skin, neither support mounting scopes, otherwise work as in vanilla. Grenades are also done. The UMP 45 / Kobra Krinkov / Kobra PKM / Scoped Groza are departures from vanilla but they're fairly minor so I figured I'd throw them in. It's easy to revert them to the default weapon they're based on just by deleting a bunch of lines in the weapon config. So far I've managed to make all weapon visuals and animations work like in OWR 3 as well as make the sounds play properly with two exceptions: 1) In vanilla the G36 can equip the grenade launcher after changing a couple characters in the weapon config. The same can be done here but the grenade launcher reload animation flips the image upside down for a split second (Or something like that, I mean it just goes crazy-like.) at the end of the reload. 2) I haven't found a way to include different reload animations as in OWR 3 for when a weapon is 100% empty and for when it still has at least one round remaining. In OWR 3 itself you get a different animation for each, aka a mag change with following slide rack / H&K slap / etc. or just a quick mag change. I suspect that this is one of those Open XRay features or something and since that's beyond my ability to comprehend for the time being I've made all weapons use the full reload animations. I also merged some more stuff from the PRP but that's not really worth a mention.
CoC was a bit too dead and I lost interest. It's an absolutely excellent foundation, but I don't have a lot of motivation to meander around aimlessly through the maps when there's no fun loot stashes or much of interest. Also, the anomaly field names are a bit goofy. "Fight Club" was the name of one field in garbage. All that said, I tried to find some other stuff, and someone said Doppelganger's plot revolved around time traveling Nazis who stole super tanks to win the war or something. That's beyond "just fuck my shit up" and SOUP tier. I can't wait to try it. Also got Spatial Anomaly while I was at it.
Most are named after X-Files episodes. So it refers to the episode of Season 7 of X-Files, not the movie Fight Club. It's sort of an easter egg.

Try to give more time for the mod, respawns will kick in. Yeah, i denominated the anomaly fields after X-file episodes, as a tribute for the series. I like especially "The Field Where I Died", so fitting.

Am I fucking weird to think that modded Clear Sky is one of my favorite out of the 3 games? I'd play the shit out of it if the Faction Wars mod wasn't a buggy mess that froze every 20 minutes. It's weird to explain, CoP has great gameplay but I think 3 maps is iffy and you get to know them like the back of your hand fairly fast and it feels like once you've explored them, there's not much to do. SoC has an awesome atmosphere and has some of my favorite maps, I loved the bar but it feels like it's missing a bit of customization. Meanwhile, Clear Sky while a buggy fucking mess had lots of maps, had good customization, decent gameplay if modded, etc. I also feel like the graphics win out over CoP. Maybe I'm just weird.

It's just ruined by annoying bugs and is lacking when it comes to decent mods.
Clear Sky's biggest fault is the shitty singleplayer foundation to work with. You want a good Clear Sky? You gotta scrap the whole story and redo the faction wars to make it more fun. TFW is a good example of a mod that's super popular because of that.
the bulletspongey as fuck enemies and invincible bloodsuckers makes me butthurt when I play CS
Been away for a few weeks. Any news on the English Beta test of ROH?
I remember the day Clear Sky came out, what a disaster. The game was incredibly unstable and everyone took like 5 clips to the head before flinching.

Literally the most unpredictable place in whole Stalker. And i'm not talking about crashes.
Been away for a few weeks. Any news on the English Beta test of ROH?
nope :(
Unpatched Red Forest was the best location. Literally the most unpredictable place in whole Stalker. And i'm not talking about crashes.
Rad forest* Seriously fuck that place. Everything is rad
nope :(
Aww. :(
is it just me that can't stand this recent trend of 'cheeki le breeki lal' where people just replace words with cheeki and breeki and think it makes it an epic stalker meme?
Get out of here, Stalker.
Get out of here, Stalker.
lel you cheeki breeki m8 :')))
Has anyone with an AMD graphics card been having trouble with COPs enhanced FDL? On my system indoor lights don't work unless you're right beside them. Campfires as well. The fires and bulbs are lit, but no light is emitted unless you stick your nose up to it. I'm assuming it's a driver issue but I have no idea when it might have started.
the bulletspongey as fuck enemies and invincible bloodsuckers makes me butthurt when I play CS
Get arsenal overhaul for CS, it does away with the bullet sponge dudes (which were worse than shoc for some reason??) pretty much almost makes CS my favorite. Bloodsuckers are still invuln while invisible tho.
I don't really mind playing CS with just the SRP and a few of its small tweaks. Its not perfect but all the games have stupid shit in them, but its a big topic that could span pages that I don't think I care enough to really dedicate to.
Play on Master difficulty if you're not, everyone aims better. More fun, less spongy core.
I chose normal to start with, and it seems like the enemies can aim juuust fine right now. I do wish my allies would kill some things before dieing though, in that first mission where you go to rescue the stalker from the bandits my team of 3 guys got absolutely wiped out leaving me to deal with 4 bandits using my pistol :v: Not sure if I really want to give the enemies even more accuracy just to have my allies become more useful.
I think Master actually ends up being easier than normal. You take less bullets but so does everyone else, everyone is more accurate but so are you.
I think Master actually ends up being easier than normal. You take less bullets but so does everyone else, everyone is more accurate but so are you.
Oh, I did not realize the difficulty impacted my own accuracy as well, sounds fun
IIRC the bullet spread is smaller the higher in difficulty you go.
stalker is meant to be played on master [editline]6th August 2015[/editline] if you aren't playing master cut off a penis [editline]6th August 2015[/editline] preferably the penis [editline]6th August 2015[/editline] the one in your possession
