idk how vanilla CoC is but there's a merge with OWR floating around

They're totally void of anything. Sometimes they have old out-in-the-open stashes remaining, but not the ones in boxes.
I think I stumbled into a Clear Sky one, though, and it was packed with suckers, snorks, polts, and a single controller.
Yeah, stashes are a little weird in CoC too. Sometimes they have good things, sometimes it's just 1 item like a bottle of vodka. What do you do with the stash PDAs you get?
Merge Update: MSO's left-over bugs are irritating so I focused on the alternate MSO-free version.
I almost successfully merged AF 3 + AN 3 Lite + the Variation Mod 1.41 + all the PRP's Fixes + OWR 3's weapon audio and visuals - with the exception of inventory icons which I'm too lazy for - + RuS) blah and ENG read-read. "Almost" because:
I can't merge Absolute Nature 3 with all the PRP's fixes because AN 3 has an all.spawn and the PRP has an all.spawn and merging all.spawns is beyond my abilities, so that's impossible for me to finish 100%.
Using PRP's = crashy-crash.
Using AN 3's = no crashy-crash but may include crashy-crash and buggity-bug down the road.
Other than that everything else works which is very yay.
Most importantly however, I remembered to read properly and analyze what I read in a not-so-half-hearted-fashion. This has earned me the gem of knowledge needed to get different tracer colors for different ammunition working. And they are beautiful.

I finally got someone to give in and give me stash coords. So I hike over there since it's on the same part of the map.

Your merge is sounding good so far, what does MSO keep doing that's messing it up?

You hand the PDA's to information brokers. Owl in Zaton, The dude in Clear Sky camp and forget who else.

From what I remember there is nothing special in the PRP all.spawn. They removed things, not added anything. It is safe to use AN3 all.spawn.
So I had heard that SGM 1.7 had german voices for Mercs, so I downloaded it so I could place it in CoC.
I had a look at the bandit voices out of curiosity

I think Soup (at least the older versions) had those bandit voices too, and mercs had CoD 2 German soldier voices. :v:

As far as I know, the only thing it still has is the incomplete translation which was made by one of the team's members and is available on their ModDB page, though I've heard that it's quite unreadable in some parts.
CoC is fun as hell so far. Only issues I'm getting is some missions glitching out and not being completable/stuck on the map ("no hint"), a weird crash with some helicopters forever chasing me and duplicates of the same task being given.
Everything else is so damn good. Just had Cordon overrun by Military and managed to barely survive it. Got a AN-94 and a SVD out of it. :toot:
Main issue I'm having with CoC is the goddamn fucking helicopters
The moment it seems pretty much any military squad sees me I might as well call myself swiss cheese.

It has its share of old bugs but now and then it'll cause random crashes here and there, everybody's favorite stack trace included. Generally speaking when you have a crash with MSO, the chances are 90% that you can load a save and afterwards it won't happen again and things will be fine, but my gripe with it is that it isn't stable and since I've no understanding about everything in it yet, some stuff is proving to be annoying to work with.
TL;DR: It works, it just doesn't work "good enough" and I don't want to put up an unstable mess anywhere so people download it and get frustrated by the bugs.

That's good news. :) I'll save myself trying to merge the two for now.
First pseudo-beta with installation instructions should be ready soon if I don't run into any other problems while play-testing it a fair bit.
I'm putting this together in a way that will allow people to download the mods to be merged, install them, and then just copy-paste the gamedata folder over everything, so the pseudo "merge-patch" itself will be fairly small.

This should allow anyone to merge AF3 + AN3 + Var. Mod v1.41 + the latest PRP v1.1's fixes + OWR's visuals and audio (Minus hands - the gloves in OWR 3 are ridiculous - and the knife - disappearing hands before stabbing look silly.)
Mind that this one doesn't utilize OpenXRay and doesn't include replacing unique weapons and Nimble orders with alternative ones from OWR3 in order to stick as close to vanilla as I can in good conscience. Some of the stuff in vanilla was too stupid for me so I forced the odd changes in because I can, but I'll do an optional version that utilizes OWR's extra weapons and comes with extra tweaks in the future. And if I find some AI tweaks or a full-blown AI mod that isn't going to be as fickle as MSO's being, I'll add that too.
The full readme with installation instructions and so on and so forth is included in the archive. Have fun.
Dead City is insane in CoC. I think that back in the game's beta, they might have intended for Bandits/Mercs to be allies there - but in CoC, they're not, and a huge clusterfuck firefight seems to want to start the second you waddle in.

I messed around with the relations to make it more vanilla
it literally took me 15 minutes just to get IN the town and away from the outskirts
Then I ended up stuck on a rooftop because I was surrounded

Leak. Personally I'll try to wait for a released version, don't want to spoil myself the fun with bugs even though from what I've read, it seems to have nothing game-breaking in it.

Nah, Dead City was intended to be held by Freedom and infested by tons of zombies back in the early stages of development, and even later on the devs didn't really mention Mercs and Bandits being all buddy-buddy with each other.
Between SHOKER 3.0 and Gunslinger i'm starting to be a little bit tired of waiting.

only crashed once in CoC, and i was unable to reproduce that, getting almost a 20fps improvement on CoP maps, this is amazing.
I've noticed much better FPS myself. I think it might be because of the newer LuaJIT libraries along with much better scripting in general.
