in the faction war mod for Clear Sky, when you would transition between levels it'd take time and you had a random chance of bumping into mutants or whatever along the way, using up a bit of ammo and maybe damaging your equipment and the like. it's not like Fallout encounters, it's just a bit of an extra something to make running around slightly less boring :v:

That sounds cool as fuck, like fast travel in fallout 1 and 2 except you don't play the random encounters yourself, or how daggerfall handles fast travel
Welp in CoC, I made to to Radar, found nothing in the center "Unknown Anomaly" then settled down in Warlab (which is a bit silly, because it's just recycled into the X-8 lab also featured in Pripyat's outskirts; WL also has major performance issues whereas X-8 does not.)
Guess I can call it done for now. Was a lot of Antidotes, medkits, and other drugs/ammo hiding in actual Warlab along with a PKM, but nothing worth the hike. Had fun with that. I might keep it around for a challenge run or something, some day.

I was going through wild territory with a 4 man merc squad
got ambushed by a chimera, and realised that I had my squad set on passive
Tried to press 1 to place them on agressive.
But then I pressed 0 or something and it went into a freecam mode.
I died and my squad got killed by the chimera without fighting back :v:
Now I really want to play CoC.

I feel you. Wondering if I should just jump ship and go for the leak or wait for the release. Misery is not my thing and I'm tired of AMK but CoC seems like everything I would ever want for CoP.

Any COP mods you guys could recommend that meets the following criteria?
1) A lot more npc squads / mutants with quick respawn times (more A-Life basically, empty maps are freaking boring)
2) More guns (with the option to tweak gear durability/ammo stats in "Data" folder)
3) More maps (COP maps are nice but get repetitive quick)
Have already played the following:
- SMRTER 0.41 (fun mod with new A.I spawn locations, but no update for over 2 years)
- SGM 2.2 (new guns/maps/quests, too bad X18 documents keep disappearing and prevents me from advancing mod quests)
- Misery (at least it lived up to it's name.....pass.)
- Complete (shameful, i know.)

GUNSLINGER is one of those now or never mods for me because if it wont get released we wont even see any source for it. so people can try and fix it up
Tried the leaked CoC.
Tried the leaked CoC with the OWR-3 add-on.
Read weapons descriptions.
Saw the magical word "Saiga".
Ripped it out faster than I'd sell a kidney for Gunslinger.
Now I just wish that CoC's AI and companion system was available for CoP. Far as free-play mods go I like it, but the best part for me is the AI. The AI is fun.

Check 4chan /sg/. No links in FP thread, please. I don't agree with how everything went and I'm personally not really against it being posted here as Alun is providing active support, but I also don't want any drama on FP again :v:
