Not really important at all but goings on in other threads has prompted this.
I go through very long periods of time of not posting split up with huge post sprees, and have to admit that the stalker FP threads are beautifully anti-drama/shitposting. The last time I really posted here for any length of time was months before Green got banned over a year ago (late but glad you're back friend) and while new faces have jumped on this bandwagon the general atmosphere of the threads have remained Abakan-tier.
Even when I'm not actively playing the games it's nice to lurk and see all this discussion on the game and mods and sometimes the technical side of things with the rare raifu argument or sudden surge of posting whenever somebody mentions stalkerbros.
I thought I heard something.
Like a faint whisper promising a collage of people with a common interest in a single image.

The number one reason I hang around Facepunch game threads is because of the active moderation and general forum community that cuts back on dumb memes, angry people, and other space-filling garbage.
You can't go more than a few feet into the 4chan War Thunder general without getting bombed by random anime pictures, dumb memes, people exploding over what gamemode you're playing, and a bunch of unreleated stuff. Reddit is mostly unreleated, all-over-the-place, and has a lot of people talking who don't actually know what they're talking about. Yet, Facepunch's thread has been rather solid except for the occasional bad apple.
I think the only other place that has been mostly as chill was /vr/'s Doom threads, but that's because most of the people in /vr/ are chill anyways.

You're a kawaii stalker too, unknown internet person. Honestly I don't post much here, but it's mostly because I'm trying my darndest to make my posts relevant and informative, something that hasn't been said before or something that truly contributes to the current topic of the thread. Seeing as I don't play CoC (mostly because of my lack of interest for such a mod's direction) I've little to do at the moment in regards to STALKER activity. I am waiting for Wormwood, GUNSLINGER and maaaybe something like finishing my thoughts on Call of Pripyat and finish planning my let's play of it, where I don't just go in rambling nonsensically but instead make "insightful" commentary at every turn. Iunno, it's a plan I had. Considering that I finished my microphone's terrible feedback (now it's just annoying instead of grating) it's a plan I could potentially execute.
Don't expect it to be done this year, though :v

I haven't burned any bridges. I can't even speak my side of it without being accused of starting drama and I've not replied about the matter simply because people here wanted it to stop.
Helping people with the mod is not me trying to win anyone over. It's community building; creating awareness about the mod. When the mod is released it's going to be all the guys playing it now who will be answering the questions, passing on tips and explaining mechanics. It's me turning a bad situation into a good one.

I approve of this. Instead if skating uphill, you focus on something you're certain of being helpful.
Say, what would you say the main features of attraction of CoC are? Like if you had to pick a handful of things you're proudest of in the mod and think are most interesting in your opinion (doesn't have to be objective you can have as much bias as you want for all I care), I'm curious in hearing it out.

So I'm looking for a mod for Shadow Of Chernobyl. I can't remember a lot about it, exactly, but I distinctly remember it allowed you to fuse artefacts together to make different/stronger ones using very specific recipes in conjunction with anomalies. Does anyone know which mod this is?
Going round in circles tryng to install CoC ,i do have a legit Steam version of CoP installed but keep getting this error : The file "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Chernobyl 1083 Full setup- 1.bin" could not be located in "C; \ Users\wayne\Downloads\CoC", Please insert the correct disc or select another folder .. ive tried putting the files in the CoP folder and in a folder on there own but to no avail whatever i do. The file it mentions is definately in that folder as im looking at it so im baffled here.
I reinstalled Clear sky with one of those overhaul mods. So at the start of the game, when you're on the tower, when you're supposed to pass out for the blowout, I fell off the tower. The game faded to black and Scar's dead body was laying on the bed with game over flashing on the screen. Good to know they brought his dead body back.
It also seems to have the quirk of crashing any time I try and load the quicksave after dying. It's an added layer of challenge.

AMK lets you transmute combinations artifacts into more powerful ones - most mods that use AMK as a base keep this feature.

You have to rename the setup file to match the bin files.

Transmutations are fun but often completely unbalanced. I enjoy them though.

I'm working on a Les Miserables style addon for the weapons in Misery and The Armed Zone to help improve the gunplay, and I want to try and hit the most glaring issues first. What does everyone remember about the Les Mis weapon mechanics, good and bad?

Well I know Oblivion Lost 3.0 has AMK features such as Artifact transmutations so if you're willing to wait 5 more days this is the one you probably want. I think OGSE 0692 has AMK features but I'm not really sure. Been a while since I played that mod.

I'm not the one putting out patches to the mod.
I found three artifact that gave 20% damage resistance in AMK. So the three of those and some 10% artifacts made me nearly immune to bullets. I could just walk and take most shots to the face. Snipers, the Gorza, Vintores and the Val could still one shot me, but they one shot every stalker in AMK. Kind of ridiculous to have 99% damage reduction and still get one shot by a particular around though.
AMK goes down as my favorite SoC mod, and I have yet to find a workable/well translated mod (as in readable) that makes use of the features I like from it.
I had an OGSE version once ( don't remember which one) that had some hilariously bad translation. It was translated to German, then to Russian, then Back to German, then to English. Virtually everything was lost in translation along the way.

I remember when I was playing an earlier version, I had somehow managed to get enough bullet resistance where it started to heal me.
