I swear dr.bartok is unbeatable. I fucking destroyed her airports at least 7 times.
So I just bought this game and it is WAY better then what I thought it was from my "demo" but Jesus it has so many features when your actually online. I love it.
I swear dr.bartok is unbeatable. I fucking destroyed her airports at least 7 times.
You need to do way more than just destroy an airport. They'll just rebuild it soon after. You need to take down the warehouse and then systematically smash all their depots, then finally take down their other buildings. It's fine to take down airports first, but you can't just leave after it, you need to take down everything.
Double post because it's that awesome. Finally finished the hard world event. What a bitch. Just in time too, my island ran out of sand and no idea how to get more like you do with items for mines. playing against the AI is kind of dumb. Im doing a continuous medium match and the AI just like build nothing and have a tiny base. Also they do nothing.
The game seems kind of multiplayer-heavy in the long run.
Why don't you just attack them then and piss them off.
What I mean is that, they dont build anything they just randomly appear every so often, like there is no progression in their building. Also they just dont do care about resources apparently.
Really? All the expanding AI expand like crazy, settling new islands all the time. They don't care about resources, but they definitely have a lot of islands/lots of shit on their islands.
I've been in a zillion little conflicts with Strindberg over settling islands. I essentially push to arm up before he does, and when he bitches about me settling islands I just muscle my way in :v:

I enjoyed ruining his reputation in the campaign.
I get this error when my friend tries to join my anno 1404 match : 0x8006000B How is this fixable?
Google brought up a few solutions, mostly from the official ubi forums, have you tried those? Also, anyone have any tips/know how to beat mission 2 in the 2nd chapter of the campaign? I keep running out of credits even though i'm working fast and only building the bare minimum. I guess I just need way way more houses.
Just got to tier 3 Tycoon, oh God under water stuff.
Just got to tier 3 Tycoon, oh God under water stuff.
My supply chains get completely overwhelmed the second I get tech stuff :v:
I love watching my huge tycoon transports travel the seas, full if my riches.
I love watching my huge tycoon transports travel the seas, full if my riches.
One of the things I love in Anno is seeing my cities and trading fleets making a tonne of money. It just makes me all giddy seeing those mountains of money sailing the seas making me even richer.
Tech stuff is easy peasy for me. Just one or two additional ships, and techies can function without satisfying their special needs for a while.
someone need to teach me how to play this game. I'm retarded or something because I can't fucking balance my shits properly and everything ends up into oblivion. I could stream/skype at the same time or something

If you have too much of something, sell it and get delicious money. If you have too few of something, either build more of the buildings that produce it, or buy some of it. It's constant experimenting and balancing.
JESUS Strindburg is a fucking insane! He has EVERY OTHER ISLAND. Im so going to die.
Get an auxilary fleet from both Rufus Thorne and Yana (if you have the cash and correct diplomatic relations), then you can crush anyone.

Is purchasing an Auxiliary fleet cheaper than manufacturing everything yourself?
yes I know all that but still, It takes like forever to get even the level 2 stuff and dont get me started on the level 3 people.
Define forever, level 2 people is pretty quick and easy to get to, you must be doing something wrong. Normally to hit level 3 (taking the Ecos as an example) they need: 2 types of food - Fish and health foods 1 type of drink - Tea 1 type of lifestyle - Communicators 1 type of community - City Centre 1 type of activity - Concert Hall 1 type of information - Education Network To upgrade from level 1 to 2 you don't even need the information or lifestyle, and don't need health food either. Getting from level 1 to 2 should be super fast. Maintaining the needs for level 3 is more difficult (pasta dishes, service bots, etc), but actually upgrading from level 2 to 3 isn't that difficult, and you can keep the level 3's mostly satisfied even with only 75% of their needs satisfied. The only thing that might actually take some difficulty to obtain is the health food, if your island doesn't have the required fertilities for the rice/vegetables to make the health food. Communicators are always a bit of a bitch, but they're generally not too bad as long as you have steady streams of copper and sand.
Anyone want to get a game going? We can ally against the AI or something. I'm free for the next 8+ hours.

I always murder that underwater prick.
I always murder that underwater prick.
What, the asian guy?
Yeah I hate Hiro the underwater asian guy. He isn't an expanding player though is he? So you can't actually fight him?
