Are the ubisoft servers down?
I can't seem to get past activation so I guess.
I can't seem to get past activation so I guess.
Bloody hell, I just got 2070 yesterday.
Same
Im doing missions. And I want to build something requiering copper. Use your warehouse and select trade, and then indicate that you want to purchase copper. Specify whatever quantity you want, then wait to see if any friendly NPC factions trade you any. This isn't a stable source of anything, but can be useful to get you started. If there really isn't any copper anywhere on the map, at all, then look into researching/buying one of those things (I forgot what they are called, they are like create fertility for minerals) that boosts the available copper reserves on an island.
Yeah just buy the items from npc's that increase the amount of copper, then you can extract it yourself. Note that items cost licences instead of money.
Crap, someone please tell me you can raise the taxes? I'm currently losing 500 credits every so often and I don't think I can stem the tide without raising the taxes. I'm now sitting at 5000 credits...
Anyone want to play? My only condition is we don't stop playing for hours and hours.
Oh hey I'm down to -85 credits. I'm honestly wondering how I'm at -388 balance with like 5 production structures and 20 houses. I'm up for a game.

I'm now sitting at 5000 credits...
Yes, you can raise taxes, but if do so your residents are more likely to be less happy and even move out. Select a house/residence and notice the popup in the upper right hand corner? The one with the face and the multicolored horizontal bar with a slider on it? That's where you can adjust taxes higher or lower. I don't remember if adjusting taxes changes them only for that residence, or for all residences; I generally don't do it as the long term consequences can be bad when compounded with other issues.
Changing taxes changes the tax rate for that entire population class. Raising taxes is a no brainer when you aren't looking to upgrade houses/don't need a higher population. The only effects of setting a tax rate at the yellow or below is that houses don't upgrade - but if they're already upgraded, it's free cash. Never put the tax rate into the oranges/red though, then they start moving out.
I haven't played this game in awhile. Anyone want to play? I'm free for the next five or so hours.
Have to say, the one bad thing about 1404 is that players have no way of coming back when dead (like a new expedition after 30 minutes or something). Kinda irritating when you've been playing with a friend for several hours and [del]Saskia[/del] Marie (might have been playing too much TW2, but that's the first thing that comes to mind when I see her) decides your friend is Satan incarnate (and he didn't have the appropriate ways of deterring her).
With the Expansion only a month or 2 away, i hope they release the 5th event soon...
Considering picking up 2070, anything I should know before buying? (CanYouRunIt said that id run it fine, but it said the same thing about AC:R, which runs like bollocks, so ehhh...)
Does anyone got Anno 2070 - Deep Ocean? How is it? Would like to buy it, but the cheapest I could find is at Ultimatum Game Keys!
Does anyone got Anno 2070 - Deep Ocean? How is it? Would like to buy it, but the cheapest I could find is at Ultimatum Game Keys!
Had no idea it was released. Going to buy it today and play it, I'll be able to tell you later today (but someone will probably beat me to it.)
I'm sitting in class and gotta wait 6 hrs till i can go home and buy it =( couldn't buy it at 2am today before work since it wasn't released yet.
Anyone knows if DD versions of Deep Ocean will work with the retail base game? Haven't bought it cause in stores it's stupidly expensive, but I don't want to but a game twice either.
I'm sorry, but this is getting ridiculous. Multiplayer just isn't working, and the only thing that we're being told by Ubisoft support etc is to forward ports- but again this doesnt seem to be working. ANyone shed any light on the situation?
How is deep ocean? 50% off on steam right now, and loving the full game with lots of game time in it, but never really liked the techs so not sure if i'll like it
How is deep ocean? 50% off on steam right now, and loving the full game with lots of game time in it, but never really liked the techs so not sure if i'll like it
I enjoy it, it's added a few cool features, like the ability to relay power from one island to another, and has added a share system to buy shares in an island for an income boost. It's basically more of the same, though, so take that into account.
Yeah I really like the whole idea of the share system to destroy someone economically rather than using military assets, for $20 it seems worth it, especially considering how much I like the base game
Deep Ocean isn't as meaty as the Venice expansion from what I've seen, but still good. Here's hoping we get more biomes in the next expansion.
Just bought and installed this. Excited to check it out.
Should I get the $7.50 DLC package with all the little DLC's? I've been enjoying the hell out of the game so far...
get them.. because it would take almost a year to get all of them if you play through the whole game
get them.. because it would take almost a year to get all of them if you play through the whole game
Took me a few weeks, but they were worth getting, too. It sounds petty as hell, but the paid for ones do look really nice, and since Anno is one of those sit back and look at what you've done games, things like the lighthouse and covered town centres are great. (even if the covered town centres cost something like 6* the standard maintenance cost)
Got this on sunday. Started playing about 7pm. My girlfriend came to bed what seemed like moments later and told me not to stay up too long as reminds me I have an early shift the next day. The next thing I know is it's 6am and I have work in an hour. Was shattered at work, but worth it. This game is great.
