I hate this. I installed the version from GameLaden, and it's only in German, with no possibility to change it to English.
I had a feeling that would happen. Try torrenting and english version and using the key you got with it
Like hell. All I need are the English files to put in my game. Essentially, anybody with an English game version could help me out. [editline]8th January 2012[/editline] Case in point: http://warez.f60s.com/forums/t/94992.aspx So, if I wanted the English version, one would have to do this for me but reversed. "This is the "ger0.rda" file from the "maindata" folder of my ANNO1404." I'll need the "eng0.rda" file. This is for anno 1404 vanilla, and I have Venice, but the idea should stay the same. EDIT2: It seems there is also a simple ger0.rda in the anno1404/addon folder. I managed to change the ger0.rda to eng0.rda in both folders and changed the language tag in the engine.ini file. This has changed the game (the background says anno 1404: Venice instead of the German Venedig) but there is no speech nor any text. Basically, I just need these two eng0.rda files and I should be ready to go.
Okay, I got Anno 2070 and I like it so far. Can anyone tell me how to fix my fisheries so they stop producing rotten fish?
I bought 1404: Venice today at a store. Unfortunately there was a sticker over the 'Requires Original Game' part of the box. Welp, time to back and search for the original then.
God I need to buy Anno 2070, the game looks so sexy.
Has anyone here ever used Ultimatum Games and, if so, is it trust-worthy?
Has anyone here ever used Ultimatum Games and, if so, is it trust-worthy?
Me and a friend bought our copies from www.g2play.net. It even provides the ubisoft downloader for the game. http://www.g2play.net/store/Anno-2070-Retail-CD-Key.html £12.38/$19~
Did anyone else start with 250 points towards every 'faction' immediately at the start of Anno 2070 or is that just because I bought the Deluxe edition on steam? The soundtrack alone is worth it but it still irks me.
Most certainly not, I've always started with 0+ points.
Just so we're on the same level I was referring to the progress bars on your profile that give you things depending on how much they like you, stuff like colors for your nameplate or extra votes, things like that. But you started with all those bars on 0? Maybe it's because I already played a lot of different games with my Ubi account or something.

No idea why.
Sucks that it's €50 on steam but only €36 in stores. I'm still going to get it at the store though. [editline]11th January 2012[/editline] does someone maybe have a steam coupon?
I never saw any Steam coupons circulating for any of Ubi's games :v:
Got 2070 yesterday, loving what i've played so far. Ingame name is T-Bag-T, going to go on soon for a few hours before work, add me if you want
So what does everyone play as in 2070? I prefer booming mid-game but I still play Tycoons because hippies piss me off.
Eco's mostly at the moment, gonna try Tycoon's soon to see which I like more.
I play ecos just because it seems like they give a damn about their islands not looking like shit. It is as if Captain Planet designed this game in order to make sure you knew who the bad guys were; all the ecos end up living in an efficient happy paradise, while the tycoons end up sitting under a pitch black sky while all their Earth-Raper 3000's mine for coal in the background. It make the prospect of playing non-eco really unappealing.
Goddamn scientists being all needy and shit. I'm playing Tycoon, wouldn't it be more cost effective just to chain them to their desks? On my Techie island I've built a nuclear reactor. It keeps having accidents but no explosions yet. If I get lucky maybe it'll go into meltdown and create The Hulk. :v:
I don't like playing as Tycoons. They need coal for fucking eveything. With Ecos you get one coal mine and have coal out your earsforever, with Tycoons you eventually end up wating mines on coal when you could be getting irom or copper. [editline]12th January 2012[/editline] Also, their islands are fucking hideous.
Got Anno 1404. Started a Infinite map first, never played a Anno game before. Got to citizen class level, then the shit hit the fan, they needed too much and rioted, then my mother empire hated me.
Just bought anno 2070, The graphics are amazing.

They're pretty much a tutorial.
I love 2070's soundtrack, the music is so good.

Also Anno 2070 looks awesome, does anyone have a coupon?
-snip- apparently I am misinformed.
Lol, Ubisoft. (no coupons were given out)
Since when, one of my friends on steam managed to get an anno 2070 voucher, sent it to an American and got the game for even cheaper. It annoys me that I've looked in loads of shops and I still can't find a copy of it so I'm going to just end up buying it on steam at this rate.
I'm going to assume that you can only do 'Current Events' in Anno 2070 in continuous games?
