Have you tried trading for limestone with the hippie bitch?
Had thought of that, but settled another island and put up some mines there, and the 11th trade route. Now I'm getting enough limestone (the problem now is uranium so my 2 reactors don't shut down, will probably buy it since the one thing not lacking is money).
I like building cities in 1701.
I use the maps generated to make my own maps for a fantasy setting.
Here, have a screenshot.

Oh god, 1701... so many good memories playing that with friends.
Can you play a Continuous Game with a Friend in Anno 2070?
I believe so, yes. Don't see why not.
The +10% Need for Drink can piss off
I had just enough to fully satisfy my Ecos

The worst part is that in the vote it only told us it would increase tax revenue.
Wait... that voting finished? Fuck. I was hoping someone else would win.

Eco always wins

And this is why no one uses a direct democracy
How come the thread about this awesome series only has 4 pages while threads about junk like this get 46 and above ?
This world is unfair I tell you.
..
Why is it that in some games that I play with a friend, one of Hector's and Leon's boats will just kinda sit in the water next to each other? It kinda weirds me out...
I killed Hector's boat once (it just sat there and took it, never tried to run away or fight back), and as soon as he was dead, Leon's boat was like "FUCK THIS I'M OUT OF HERE".
I really like F.A.T.H.E.R for some reason. also I can't beat the second mission in the S.A.A.T campaign.

Well you're going to be in for a surprise
Anyone up for a game online later? Anno 2070?
So I got my 3 friends to get Anno 1404 + the expansion.
Been doing play a match, for about 2 hours but saved to go to bed for the night.
I am the only one producing tools. I am the only one with a shipyard. I am the only one with a positive income.
They have no idea what to do, one of them didn't build fish yards because they thought it was useless and about 15 minutes in game, his peasants rioted.
Anyway, this game is fucking Awesome for MP and im so glad they have a save feature for it, considering games can last forever.
Well you're going to be in for a surprise
[sp]You mean he goes rogue? Yeah, but I'm under the assumption we'll fix him. Right? RIGHT?[/sp]

I have no idea, I got so annoyed with Strind(douche)berg that I haven't even gotten that far in the campaign :v:
[editline]15th January 2012[/editline]
Fuck you, you greedy corporate whore, trying to [SP]blame all of the problems on me[/SP]
I always have this problem, I'll make a bunch of houses for income, make the stuff the need on another island and get a trade route to get the stuff, but I always end up getting stuck. I run low on materials to make their needs, they start moving out, and I'm left with rapidly dropping credits.
Does Anno 2070 actually have LAN? Me and 2 friends want to play together on our small LAN party today.
[editline]15th January 2012[/editline]
We can use internet if there's no LAN though. It'll just be a bit laggy but that isn't too bad.

FP loves those kinds of games where you can get together and dick around or try and achieve something, same happened with Wurm.
Also the fact that everyone posts their city progress in the general media thread doesn't really help either... though I did that as well one or two times... :v:
I'd love to see more people's cities though, inspiration is always welcome.
2070 is extremely fun. We should get a Facepunch game going someday.
We should. Problem is it's hard because any time we play we need to have all players present (which gets even harder with different timezones). I'd definitely be up for it, but would only be able to play from 17 to 20 during weekdays, due to Uni.

Which is funny because FP never achieves anything in online games (it always goes to shit).
I'd be up for a FP game as well, I got the next few weeks off so time doesn't really matter all that much.
I keep seeing videos of Anno 2070 and I keep thinking of buying it, but it looks so complicated (or in depth may be a better phrase), so much micro-management it seems. That put me off a little.
It's really simple actually, easy to learn but hard to master.
Just don't do like me, when you get an objective (like reach 2500 execs) do it quickly, otherwise you end up with resources running out making everything harder.
I'm available for a game for about the next five hours, if your interested, I'm Xahk on steam.
I prefer Tycoons so far in 2070. They're a lot less needy and not a bunch of goody tea-drinking douche bags.
Also were the older Anno games this cliche? It's like EVIL CORPORATE GUY WHO IS REALLY ARROGANT AND THE TYCOONS DRINK ALCOHOL BUT THE GOOD ECOS DRINK TEA AND LOVE THE EARTH THEY ARE GOOD AND CORPORTATION IS BAD OOHH NO SAVE THE DOLPHINS FROM THE OIL!
Because it's kind of embarrassing how forced the cliches feel.

Nah, they didn't have factions
1404 was incredibly cheesy though, don't remember if 1701 was.
1404 was incredibly cheesy though, don't remember if 1701 was.
Yeah its story is.
I don't expect complex and compelling morality from a city-building game anyways. :v:

Yeah, Anno 2070 seems far more serious than the previous games because of the fact that it's sort of dick-waving the message of "save the earth".
I'm not opposed to such a message, but seriously?
