Opinion-time, people. Who is the douchiest npc? Normally, and when they get mad.
Douchiest? Guy Forcas (AKA Grima Wormtongue). The one that scares me the most? The red Cardinal from 1404. The one I hate the most? Leon in 2070 (an eco terrorist that also works against nuclear power? Wow it's like tailor made for my hatred). [editline]20th January 2012[/editline] Also, random map generator that can generate maps up to 2560 in size (normally, the largest possible option is just 1792): http://forums-de.ubi.com/showthread.php/35046-Random-World-Creator-steht-zum-Download-bereit

T'was pretty cool.

Yeah there are way too few AI opponents in 2070, hope the expansions add a lot more (and some cool artwork for the loading screens as well). Also there is no character with the intimidation factor the Cardinal had.
I really wish that the AI players followed the same mechanics as the players in continuous. Like the expanding tech lady? HATE that bitch. Her bases make absolutely no sense. She produces no raw materials nor does she seem even remotely phased by blockades or bombings. Her and I were buddies. Then she sent me an ultimatum to reduce my fleet to four warships or face war. So I declared war first and wiped the floor with her navy. Then I spent the next two hours using two bombers and a few ships to mop everything up. But she kept rebuilding shit constantly. Took fucking forever. I had her down to one underwater island that had no surface depot and she demanded that I surrender. The AI needs to know when to give up.

I played multiplayer for the first time. I didn't know what the fuck Keto was or anything so I built like four Vipers and four harbor defenses and they wrecked my shit. The other guy who apparently knew built enormous defenses and a huge navy but instead of helping me he let me hanging in the wind. So after he decides to destroy them, after my economy is suffering from sickness and starvation because the attacks crippled my trade and harbors) I finally begin to get back on my feet. This is when it went from being "it's a gameplay tactic I guess I understand why you didn't help' to troll. As if to be a giant faggot he brings his entire fleet (I don't have a single attack ship or anything) and builds a warehouse on my main island. There were like sixteen islands, most of them uninhabited but he built on mine so I decided to fuck him and leave. He can play by himself but it was kind of agreed that when we started the game it'd be a city builder as opposed to 'troll the other guy as hard as you can'

This is why we need to get a Facepunch game going.
I'd only join city builder ones though, I'm terrible at Anno and I'll probably lose all my stuff before the first hour
I'd only join city builder ones though, I'm terrible at Anno and I'll probably lose all my stuff before the first hour
Well yeah, of course. We could have two seperate FP games running: One city builder, one SMASH ALL THE THINGS.
I'm usually good for Anno games. Codemonkey3 is my steam. City builders preferred, I can play for 8+ hour stretches at a time.
http://steamcommunity.com/id/wordsworth03 Is this your profile? If so I'm going to add you, lets get a game going. :D
I bet I need a good rig, if I want to play Anno 2070?
I'll join, but I'm not on my computer. (the one with the games ands team that is)
I feel more interested in buying 1404, but for some odd reason they have removed it from steam :S
-nvm found a game-
Well, bought 2070.
I'm terrible at fighting in this, so I can't do this world event

Bought this game a few days ago, can the AI go to war against each other? I've not seen it yet
I don't know either, although I do hope so. I got both an extreme eco guy and some oil mining tycoon.
Well they did go to war against one another in 1404, so I see no reason why they shouldn't do it in 2070.
Just because no one has pointed it out yet, the world event is back in Anno 2070 for a limited time. It's the nuclear missile one.
I'm still looking for someone to play with. I'm free from right this instant and probably for the next 10+ hours to play. Literally. I'm willing to keep this game going for weeks, I don't mind. I just need some other players who don't just drop out after four hours of playing and never come back, it's kind of a waste of time if we don't actually get to a point where we've peaked out our civilization.

This semester is basically beginning Architecture classes so I've got oodles of free time.
2070 is fun stuff, but the GUI feels a bit more cluttered than 1404
Damnit guys, don't let this die. How about screenshot time again?
I sure do like Anno 2070, but damn... Can you FEEL the cliche?
I get it, all the numbers added together equal 36. 3 plus 6 is 9, the same number all the other Annos add up to.
The "Tycoons are bad polluters mmmkaay?" message sure is a bit hamfisted. It feels like Tycoons are harder to play than Ecos, too.
So how is the online part of 2070?I see you can start a saved game as a multiplayer game but whats the use?
