Loving this game so far. IT IS SUPER IMPORTANT YOU DO THAT .INI FILE SHIT it turned my game from barely playable (fucking FPS stuttering and gun aiming lag and all sorts of horrors) to a really enjoyable and immersive experience. Didn't think I'd have this much fun building a little settlement. Is there any way to lock wooden floors / walls down on the ruined house foundations after I scrap the houses? I feel if I try and do everything by eye, it'll end up wonky and ugly. I'd prefer if I could snap things to grid.
Do you remember what page is it on?
I can't seem to change my graphics adapter. It's using my integrated card and not my actual card, and even though I set it to use my card in Nvidia control panel it still uses my integrated card. Can someone help me out?
Do you have Nvidia Optimus ? Or something similar ? Go to Nvidia manager and add Fallout_launcher.exe and Fallout.exe to your dedicated gpu
What armor can Dogmeat wear? So far all I have on him is a red bandana and welding goggles.
Also, I'm thinking about restarting so I can get the perks required for more settlement pieces, is it worth doing that, or wait for a second run of the game?
So ingame vsync locks me to 30fps, i have to use Nvidias Vsync However regardless if i turn vsync off or on in control panel i get this judder turning my camera and i have no idea how to fix it. Really distracting and ruining the game for me right now.
A simple solution is to run in Borderless Windowed Mode. There's another more complicated fix for it though.
I think it's a super mutant "trap" :quotes:
I think it's Raiders actually. Two hours before I even came across a Super Mutant I came across that.
A simple solution is to run in Borderless Windowed Mode. There's another more complicated fix for it though.
Borderless is horrible and never works properly for me. Always ends up worse. I want Fullscreen v-sync which ic an achieve at 60fps but witha judder turning the camera both with and without vsync Ive done all that
I think it's Raiders actually. Two hours before I even came across a Super Mutant I came across that.
yeah you're probably right
Yikes, some of these areas have ridiculous framedrops for no reason, like random parts of the wasteland near nothing else.
I think it's Raiders actually. Two hours before I even came across a Super Mutant I came across that.
Yeah, it was just outside a raider base that I steamrolled so I think you're right.
Does anyone still have that build planner website somewhere ?
Also who is this asshole that keeps leaving mines everywhere in the middle of nowhere, I hope he's an actual character because I want to kick him in the dick.
Doesn't mention US annexation of surrounding countries, too much talk about family, about ARMY HO!
Wow imagine a game wherein the main character served in the US Military AND was about an apocalyptic war between China and America focusing on the US Army, who woulda thought?

Well darn, the game doesn't support my shitty 1280 x 1024 resolution and I have to use 1280 x 720, which looks pretty poopy. Can't blame them, nobody uses this shitty resolution anymore. Guess I'll start saving for a new monitor, any recommendations for a good looking one that doesn't go over 150 euro or so? Atleast I have 60fps on ultra during the prologue so that's pretty nice I guess.
Try saving the file while the launcher is open. Or you could try copy and pasting the data into the file that it creates just make sure to turn off read-only and turn it back on after you save it. Where did you change that setting in the Nvidia Control Panel?
This is what I'm seeing. It's still using my Intel Integrated card.
Also who is this asshole that keeps leaving mines everywhere in the middle of nowhere, I hope he's an actual character because I want to kick him in the dick.
Yeah, I was just walking around Back Bay when I got killed by a mine in some alleyway. Really sucked since I just found a nice pipe rifle on a supermutant and didn't have a chance to save.
Anyone know if there's a way to change appearance on ps4? A plastic surgeon maybe?
A simple solution is to run in Borderless Windowed Mode. There's another more complicated fix for it though.
I'm trying to do that iPresentInterval thing now, changed it to 0 in both Fallout.ini and Prefs and now my game is going 250FPS ingame even though I went into the nvidia control panel and tried to put vsync to both adaptive and on edit: this is borderless windowed by the way edit: in fullscreen the 60fps lock works but now I get jittery mouse movement looking horizontally

My settlement (Sanctuary) won't update it's defense value?? I've put guard towers everywhere, and they should be providing +2 defense each, but it's not tallying up.
My settlement (Sanctuary) won't update it's defense value?? Turrets provide instant defense value
http://www.rpg-gaming.com/fo4.html
This one works but i dislike how the perk and the stats aren't on the same page etc. I was looking for another one. It was on a white webpage or something like that.

While in workshop mode press E on one of the settlers and then press E on a guard post.

Unless Bethesda changed something with the code in the recent version of the engine, it's never a good idea to disable iPresentInterval. iPresentInterval isn't exactly Vsync, it's a Gamebryo/Creation Engine function that caps the game at 60 FPS in order to have stable physics. Surpassing 60 FPS in pretty much every Bethesda game since Oblivion always results in even more broken physics as well as various other bugs (quest timings, potentially timescale issues). These changes may not be apparent at first, but they will happen with extended play sessions.
