You need to assign people to them. While in workshop mode press E on one of the settlers and then press E on a guard post.
I am unable to assign people to any jobs. Pressing E on a person does nothing (in workshop mode). My food production went up without me assigning anyone, so I dunno why my defense won't. [editline]10th November 2015[/editline] Also, when I'm building defenses around my entry points (the wooden bridge leading into Sanctuary, is what I have in mind), how can I nicely align my guard posts with a gate and fences to make it look sleek and functional? Cause right now, I've got ugly gaps between stuff.
Must admit I do wish there was an option to change the characters voice.
I've got a fairly decent rig, my fps is pretty atrocious, even on medium :( Running a GTX Titan, 16 gbs of ram, Intel i7-3820 @ 3.6ghz. Should be more than enough to run this at 60fps on medium? Is f04 just that badly optimized?
It bugs me that the lowest setting for soe aspects is medium Can anyone suggest ways to improve performance beyond setting everything to minimum? It runs run, but it's crazy juddery.
This brings up a good point. Don't you guys think they did an AMAZING job with the intro explaining the story pretty simply to someone who hasn't played the other games? I loved the live action bits
would've been more "AMAZING" if they had subtitles for it if you had them enabled
Survival difficulty is trash, don't expect the game to work like Hardcore-mode in NV. Enemies just become obnoxious bullet sponges.
I keep finding these really cool areas with literally nothing in them
would've been more "AMAZING" if they had subtitles for it if you had them enabled
Subtitles sometimes just fuck up and don't show for me in general so they need to fix that
Oh yeah, the subtitles break constantly

I might swap down to very hard or hard
damn, $1200 for 12 sodas http://www.ebay.com/itm/NUKA-COLA-QUANTUM-ENTIRE-CASE-OF-12-FALLOUT-/191735739124?hash=item2ca45732f4:g:82UAAOSw~bFWQi-t [thumb]http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/82UAAOSw~bFWQi-t/s-l1600.jpg[/thumb]
How do you build Toolbox's?
I'm getting pretty sick of gingerly taking pot shots at enemies to avoid getting fucked up by half a dozen molotovs Are there difficulty completion achievements? I liked wolfensteins where all that changed was how hard they hit you but not how hard you hit them. Made it more survival like.
This one works but i dislike how the perk and the stats aren't on the same page etc. I was looking for another one. It was on a white webpage or something like that.
Yeah I agree I like this one better.

Survival is fucking mental.
Human enemies are manageable as long as you hit them mostly in the head and don't get molotoved, animals can get you if they gang up on you and ghouls are terrifying I'm only like level 8 but enemies with explosives or armour are impossible right now edit: one of my favourite mods for 3/nv was the increased weapon damage (not increased headshot damage) because then enemies could still fuck you up, but you could equally fuck them up if you caught them out or got a few good shots in
This is what I'm seeing. It's still using my Intel Integrated card.
What if you select your 'High-performance Nvidia processor' from the dropdown rather than using the global setting? Also I'm just curious but try adding the launcher as well and doing the same thing. The config settings are modified via the launcher.
Your PC is better than mine in every way and i get good FPS on ultra
Why am I not surprised, dear god. They need to fix this, it's kind of ridiculous. I've been looking forward to this all day, coming home from work, and I get this shit :v: It's lagging on just walking around.
Diamond City does actually decorate for Halloween [t]http://i.imgur.com/zGMXkhI.jpg[/t] the next day [t]http://i.imgur.com/RfKT64y.jpg[/t] eagerly awaiting spending Christmas in the wasteland

Also the game is really optimized from what I've been reading. This is the first time i've heard of someone with such a high-end card having issues. Something else must be going on that's interfering with your performance.
lmao this game is awesome. i named my character snake pliskenn and everyone is actually calling me "snake" and "mr pliskenn" literally everything i wanted from a fallout game
I really appreciate that they did that, that's awesome. wonder what else could be affected
Sanctuary has these decorations as well mostly on the houses. There's also a pumpkin you can pick up in one of them.
I think Bethesda got the holiday decoration idea from FO 1/2. In those games the pipboy would give you a holiday greeting on those days.
To be honest I fucking love the personality this game has, the bright colors, nice minimalistic UI, pip-boy and the perks having these cool little animations, the holotape games, AMAZING radio with best songs from previous games along with cool new ones. Hell they even went out of their way to make those cool little animations for each side quest.
So I would advise doing this. The game is actually running exactly like it should but minus VSync and you can clamp it to whatever you want no use of 3rd party which is nice. Also enemies that mutate are fucking impossible to deal with.
So turn iPresentinterval to 0 and put iFPSclamp = 60 or whatever under [display] in both fallout.ini and falloutprefs.ini?
I think Bethesda got the holiday decoration idea from FO 1/2. In those games the pipboy would give you a holiday greeting on those days.
I think it's more from the skyrim mod Wet & Cold: Holidays, the actual implementation of it.
So, Danse has just given me the option to join the Brotherhood, if I choose this now, does it lock me off from The Institute later? (if you can even join them)

In my Fallout4Prefs.ini it's set to sD3DDevice="Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000" but typing in the name of my card does nothing as it simply reverts back to my integrated card upon launch.
