I don't even know what's going on anymore. Is this normal?
It's the Skyrim dragons all over again - except more explosive.

Yeah, I imagine they used similar code to create that.
Has there been anyway found out to wear say the goggled gas mask with an army helmet or combat helmet?
Got the last pieces of my power armor ready! Time to go dish out some Institute justice.

Well...looks like I'm going hunting.

Ending spoilers
I'm going to be honest here [sp]I was very conflicted between siding with the Brotherhood and the Institute, until Bunker Hill. I saved there and decided to go Institute first, and people saying the endings are "Kill your son or nuke the Commonwealth", well, to be honest, I don't see the whole nuke the commonwealth anywhere. I just completed Nuclear Family, and there was definitely no nuclear war 2.0.
What gives?[/sp]
Also, where are you guys getting your suits of X-01? I've been meaning to use it.
Looks like some nice retextures are already coming out.
Honestly, let me point you guys in the right direction
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/222/?
I use Survival100MorePCDamage.esp. Which makes you do 2.0x damage just like enemies.
Its a lot more like say Stalker now, I die quick, they die quick, and the rest of the game's core balance and Survival mode aspects (slow healing) are kept intact.
I love it, its like a brand new game

So now that I finished my main story in the current play-through, once I get some side-quests done etc.
I'm going to start a new game with these two mods.
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/222/? "Configurable Survival Damage" (Will be with some tweaking)
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/325/? "Configurable Power Armor Fusion Core Drain"
Then gonna set days to last a real 12 hours, this way I can play survival without ridiculous damage nerfs etc and can instead keep myself at 1x damage as opposed to 0.5, and give enemies 1.5 rather than 2, and set cores to last for like 2/3 hours each.
And never fast travel.
My hope is that I'll be forced to make use of heavy armors more, along with making the PA a viable and much needed Asset, and force me to scavenge for parts a lot harder to keep settlements and gear running and repaired/up to par against what I face. Hopefully it will just make it all an enjoyable experience for a second play-through. (Not that the first one lacked any, holy hell was that a ride.
Doing that myself also. It's currently incredible fun, especially without using ANY form of fast travel as-well and manually going around the world.
It's going to make the [sp]Vertibird Signal Grenades[/sp] a lot more valuable and viable.
What's the point in wearing intelligence augmenting clothes excluding fashion purposes? Or using mentats for that matter?
I know I'm late on this but...
Bethesda level writing: What should the place the player first meets the dog be called?
RED ROCKET
genius.

All these two do is add a layer of "dust" on the default texture, I personally prefer the stylized look of the default ones

There's a bunch of these stations around Boston, but this one is the only one named "Red Rocket Station" on the map
Could someone link all the different construction related mods? Like infinite building, more settlers, etc?

It's weird seeing pristine ammo boxes scattered among rust and grime.

The Pip-Boy retexture makes no sense since you found it in a Vault, why would it be all dirty and shit when it's been safe down in the Vault and nobody's touched it at all.
What's the point in wearing intelligence augmenting clothes excluding fashion purposes? Or using mentats for that matter?
you get more xp but its really only worth it turning in missions, it seems best to turn mentats into the upgraded versions

For me, it's been at the epicenter of several massive explosions and soaked in blood several times.
I just realized that in the early screenings of Fallout 4, the platform to Vault 111 never starts to descend when the nuke goes off, and the screen fades to black right before the blastwave impacts the characters.
Very glad they changed that. It did look a bit weird. :v:
Is this game outrageously difficult to anyone else?
Nearly every enemy encounter fucks me up. Mutants, raiders, what have you, they kill me in a second or two. Even Feral Ghouls fuck my shit up. The game just seems to love throwing a million enemies at you and expecting you to survive. Am I supposed to bring a companion along or stay in Power Armor forever?

Well the vault was flooding with water, maybe the moisture in the air did it.

It's been down there collecting dust and rust for 200+ years.
I think it's fair to say it could be a bit dirtier than it is in the vanilla game.
I went to Pickman's gallery earlier today and it was great. What is it a reference to?
Kind of a late response, but its a reference to Pickman's Model, which is about an artist and his fucked up paintings.

Pretty sure they did it because they didn't want to spoil ANYTHING at all.

You're supposed to level-up a little bit within the starting area at first. Going straight south or wherever distant from Vault 111 will prove to be really, really difficult.
Is the only difference between very hard and survival the difference in healing speed?
So I'm doing the railroad questline, or trying to anyways.
All the missions I'm doing seem like those radiant quests that don't really do anything.
How do I progress the plot?
The last couple things I've done is [sp]Build defenses for a new safehouse, and do a mission with that synth lady (we both got assigned the same job accidentally)[/sp]
I hope these do more justice, I upped the FOV to 90.

Had to get a generic Facepunch user goin'
[t]http://i.imgur.com/hFHox43.jpg[/t]
survival mode is just a huge bitch sometimes. Had a modded minigun, 1500 rounds. Blasted all 1500 into the face of this raider. I was jamming stimpaks constantly with my T60 powerarmor with 1200 damage resistance. And still died, like 3 times.
What makes it so much worse is it's an escort mission for the BOS, but the escort is not a companion so I can't tell her to stop rushing the enemy. So I often have to throw myself infront of her to block bullets hitting her.
is cricket voiced by ash?
Yup, I've met two characters she voices so far.
