talking about cricket, is it normal that her guards are wearing the "tactical advantage" outfit

honest work alright
I just realized that in the early screenings of Fallout 4, the platform to Vault 111 never starts to descend when the nuke goes off, and the screen fades to black right before the blastwave impacts the characters.
Very glad they changed that. It did look a bit weird. :v:
It was probably just to create some suspense before people saw the real prologue.

Bethesda level writing: What should the place the player first meets the dog be called?
RED ROCKET

Red Rocket has been around since at least Fallout 3.
I started Fallout 4 and I had no idea the graphics were so insane.

Does doing the Brotherhood of Steel questline affect the Railroad and Minutemen questlines?
I'm only in it for the power armor, gonna be real.
I hope I'm not too late to post my character.

Also a 840m and a i5-4210m seem to be able to run the game at ultra 1920x1080 at ~15fps.
I hope these do more justice, I upped the FOV to 90.

You get the power armor pretty early on after [sp]the big ass airship shows up[/sp] but you need to be a member beforehand.
So in theory you could do the quest and main quest up to that point, get the power armor, and just peace out.
Anyone know where to get glasses that aren't sun glasses?
I found a vendor who sold some Black Rimmed Glasses but they're pretty much shades. I haven't been to diamond city yet though.
What did you guys do at [sp]Covenant[/sp], and why?
I chose to [sp]free Amelia[/sp], with the key reason that [sp]they were torturing innocents regardless, and that I'm not 100% convinced all synths/the entire "Institute" is evil[/sp].
Still, for me it was a grey choice though as [sp]Covenant[/sp] still did some good, even though it was only a front for the [sp]Compound[/sp]...

Yeah but from what I hear you get X-01 power armor later on. Which is just naaasty.
Plus I just want to do the quests, but not if it interferes with the railroad and Minutemen quests.
Ugh, I dropped off Curie at Sanctuary so I could do the newspaper story quest with whatshername, and now when I go back to try and get Curie to be my companion again I can't as she's stuck in a conversation loop about how excited she is about a discovery.
Anyone encountered anything similar and found a solution? I really wanted to have Curie as my companion again.
The Gunslinger perk does affect semi-automatic pistols, right? For example, my 10mm? I've been dumping points into it and I just got this horrible feeling that it might be exclusive to revolvers.
I don't know about you guys, but I was actually really surprised by the writing in Fallout 4.
It's not perfect or even New Vegas-tier, generally, but considering how everyone loves to slag Bethesda off, I was pleasantly surprised. Mostly so by the choice in which faction you side with. Each of the major ones have some very legitimate grievances, it's not a moral dichotomy like in Fallout 3. It seems that more choose which faction to side with based on what you believe rather than what is the obvious good/bad guy option.
That and I'm surprised how well done the companions are this time around, especially when compared to Skyrim (which had something like 75 companions but I can remember about 5 of them). I've had Curie along most of the time, and the amount of unique lines she has, as well as an actual personality, is also a lot more like how it is in New Vegas. It seems that Bethesda knew New Vegas was good and is taking some of those things on board.
Fallout 4 overall is bethesda picking up the 'fuckin pace. They really changed their game this time, and for the better. Issue's that have been a constant problem have been fixed imho and though it still has 'bethesda problems'.
There is less moral black and whiteness. The other day, I was attacked by a group of survivors and found a note on them that basically said that "Someone betrayed the group, we can't trust anyone any more, if we see anyone we have to kill them". They've been shit on for so long even though they're just trying to survive that they'll kill anyone that comes near them, and I just killed all of them. That's exactly the type of crap that'll happen in the apocalypse.
I've not seen the brotherhood yet but so far I get the impression that they like to show off their great and mighty power. They're a legendary force in the wastes and they know it. They have all the military power they need to take what they want. They aren't a bunch of moral nannies anymore, unlike in fallout 3, which was a game that only further justified the brotherhood by making the Enclave literal genocidal psychopaths.
Anyone else finding the game stupidly easy even on higher difficulties?
The AI is a bit better than previous games, but it feels like enemies just get more bullet spongey and deal more damage and that's it. There's no real challenge, just artificial difficulty.

it effects all of them
I use a .44 revolver and a 10mm and both of them tear raiders to shreds.

I wish the vendor stalls looked different, or at the very least had items on them.

Fallout: Clear Sky
Something that's both frustrating and totally novel to me is that not everything is recorded in the wiki right now. I found [sp]some ghoul kid trapped in a fridge[/sp] (dunno if that's spoilers really, it's a minor side quest) and went to look him up on the wiki to see if I could recruit him to Sanctuary or where his original house was, and there was nothing on him at all.

This is probably one of the few missions where taking a power armor isn't a bad idea
I dunno about you guys but I think the Super Mutants sound less batshit insane in Fo4. In Fo3 they yelled from the top of their lungs all the time. At least I think they did.

Very Hard. My friend on survival also confirmed this phenomenon.
This escort mission. I swear. I go to throw a molotov and this bitch runs infront of me to take on all these people and gets hit by the molotov.
