So had anyone tried a melee only build? Is it viable?
5 Days since release and i still cant open any Vault Doors properly, reinstalling, resetting ini's, no matter how many save files they are all broken so it isnt a corrupted save file. I physically cannot get any further into the main story.
Atleast i'm having fun doing what i love, exploring, but id like to yknow carry on playing the fucking main story Bethesda.

It's the armor you're wearing and the guns you're carrying. It adds to the carry weight.

Working on an inn/bar right now. I can't wait for mods, the settlement building is really fun but it's kind of limited. It'd be great to have more to build with.

I started notice that all of the armor pieces and weapons have pretty high mods on them. That's about it I think.

That's the problem. I have no junk in my inventory, no weapons, no armor, and my character is in his underwear.

God dammit. Now I have that constant spark and wire glitch. Can't pick up or touch the wire, and the sparks come from it as if I was. Tried fast traveling out there and back, no dice.

The super sledge goes through peoples armor like nothing. It's fucking devastating.
Plausibly known already, but I noticed that there is an M203 Shell through the help command, and also a test grenade launcher. However you cannot give them to yourself, they just do not show up. Wonder if they ever intended to make an undermounted grenade launcher a weapon mod. Would've been kinda cool.

Anyone else notice load times getting longer and more frequent stuttering the longer I'm in the game? I don't know if it was me messing with the ini files, but it's acting a little slower now.

absolutely, both before and after applying things to the ini
I have to restart about every hour or two (if I even play that long) because at some point it just becomes seconds per frame rather than frames per second
You know, while I enjoyed my time with Fallout 4... I'm sort of starting to feel jipped, I mean ultimately whatever side you pick wins, but you sacrifice immensely valuable factions and resources despite the player's position to potentially allow for diplomatic relations, the end game sort of railroads you into causing all of that untold destruction without even having the ability to speak up and say no, you can't use your position of power to attempt to negotiate peace, to make the faction you pick think of the consequences.

I feel like this game has a lack of actual settlement in it. I went into Lexington going "oh boy maybe I'll meet some people here" and all I found was raiders and turrets. A fuckload of them. Later, I got "explore the combat zone" and expected a fight, but then I saw that it was the arena thing and got excited. Unfortunately, that excitement quickly turned into "oh everyone's shooting at me I guess I'm not getting a fighters-guild type questline from this after all oh well"
Like, are there any actual towns minus Diamond City? Because I haven't found any.

to be fair, the protagonist's lines there are presented in a way to suggest no dialogue options, or only one style of conversation, and the protagonist manages to change the scope of the mission in dialogue, which is far from the more railroady nature of the final product

There's a number of these, some you can even get from vault-tec lunchboxes. I had an eyebot at my main base but some fucker either picked it up or it got knocked down. Wish there was a proper stand for them.
