Ending spoils and some comments [sp]imo he never really was my "son" as he was not raised by my character or anything for that matter, in the end he was just a delusional old dying man who only was bound to me by blood. I actually prefer the brotherhood ending where your character takes synth Shaun, it's bittersweet.[/sp]
actually both [sp]railroad and BoS takes synth Shaun. [/sp]
Cabot House questline spoilers [sp]Holy shit I love that I sided with the Lorenzo, infinite supply of Radiation immunity, 5 STR and 50 DR pots is just amazing[/sp]

Just waiting for the settlers to roam in - first floor has a guard post and my power armor, second floor has beds, third floor is a mall with all stores and the fourth and final floor is my personal suite. I think it looks swell. Thoughts?
I hope they eventually add a way to share your settlement designs with other people. I doubt I'll ever be able to make cool shit like this.
I just found [sp]Curie[/sp] in Vault 81.
Holy shit she's adorable.
There's a mod (read: save file) on the Nexus to play as a Gen 1 Synth; I'm guessing they just used the console to change their race, so it should be possible for all the synths.
prob late but i want the same kinda thing for super mutants tbh

She's the best companion, and the perk is pretty helpful too.
Holy shit, [sp]is the Silver Shroud voiced by the same guy who voiced the Imperial guards/citizens in Oblivion?[/sp]

Hoooome
How often can you romance a companion? I failed the first attempt and want to try again.
i suppose wait a day? i romanced my companion easily (or at least flirted with her lol)
I'm just about to get to Diamond City, and this...

...is what my playtime looks like. I think it's safe to say I'll be getting more than my money's worth out of this game. Minor technical (and UI) issues aside, this is definitely my GOTY. I do have one major gripe, though; why can Preston just order me to liberate settlements. Often times I avoid him so that I can have a relatively neat quest log, and do his settlement missions one at a time. But when I'm crafting gun upgrades, I feel a sense of sinking despair whenever I hear "what cha' building?"

Also, I'm trying to make a music mod to put the fallout 1/2 music as explore music, if anyone's interested

Wes Johnson is in every voiced Bethesda game somewhere.

Isn't the Shady Sands theme already in the game actually?
I like the Prydwen, so I need to know [sp] if I side with the Railroad, will the Prydwen be destroyed/leave, or will it stay in the area?[/sp]

[sp]The Prydwen will be destroyed if you side with the Railroad, but it'll stay if you side with the Minutemen[/sp]
Found out that settlements are a terrible place to store gear. I have 4 suits of power armor and 20+ fusion cores, plus shit tons of ammo and weapons stored in Sanctuary. A pack of ferals attack and now my 4 suits are being worn by settlers, and a bunch of my unique weapons are missing.
You should really be able to tag stuff as owned so settlers can't just take it. I got it all back after going to each individual settler and telling them to give my shit back, but that's annoying as hell as I have no other hideout available to me at the moment. If anyone has any suggestions as to where a good non-settlement hideout can be found early into the main quests, that would be a lot better than sticking at a settlement where all my stuff is fair game. I'm thinking one of the bunkers in the northeast, but not entirely sure if those are safe to store things.
[editline]nah[/editline]
Also it bugs me that anyone can use power armor now. I was thinking that why the male protag can just hop in a suit is because of his military background, but now anyone can hop in a suit and use it just as well as a trained soldier. Actually the entire way power armor is handled now takes a shit on the lore.
If there's basic frames and the only difference is the outer shell, then why is T-51b considered to be leaps and bounds above T-45d if at the core they're identical? Wasn't the big thing about T-51b being better that it had much more mobility through hydraulics and that it used a fusion power pack instead of energy cells? I love the feel of the armor in that it feels powerful and is not just a fancy set of clothes, but it just annoys the hell out of me that the only difference between basic T-45d and advanced T-51b is the outer shell.

I'd buy one of the actual like houses for your personal item vault.
So, I'm stuck on "Form Ranks", I've actually freed 12+ settlements, just not built them up much.
Uh, what do I do now?
I'm disappointed I can't have more people per settlement. But I guess I understand that with how small each settlement is.
