[sp]I agree though. I tried EVERYTHING to save him and the only one that worked was "kill me first", and that look lots of savescumming to work. Really wish you could still shoot weapons out of people's hands.[/sp]

I don't know what specifically triggered it, but a random NPC told me to speak with the Russian brothers at the dugout bar/inn. I think (mid-late story spoilers) [sp]you get access after killing Kellog and seeing the bro-blimp[/sp]

Make your last statement, then while the Raiders are talking, break out of the dialog, go in to VATS, line him up, and blow his head off.[/sp]

Because I am absolutely insane I took this travesty and actually played it. I played the first act, all the way from new game to escorting the settlers to Sanctuary in power armor.
You know, it's actually playable if you drop the difficulty down and rely a LOT on VATS. The Deathclaw was a slight challenge because I am physically incapable of moving, shooting, and aiming at once. Maybe I can set this app to fire while pressing the power button or the volume buttons, I don't know. I had to make some minor adjustments to the UI as well, most notably adding mouse wheel buttons to navigate the Pip-Boy.

Found what I'm doing on my 2nd playthrough.
Passive aggressive knife wielding Bob Ross and collect all the paint cans and brushes I can find.
I love everything about this game but the dialogue. The scavenging aspect, the base building, the power armour, the weapon mods, it's all great. The only downside (apart from the dialogue) is how much it makes me really want an open world Metro game or STALKER 2.
With my visor and glasses and bobblehead I have a constant 13 perception which is like a permanent 95 to hit. I wonder if it will be 95 behind cover with that perk.
