So I'm trying to install a mod for FO4, but it isn't working. I have the "sResourceDataDirsFinal" thingy changed to say "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\" in fallout4.ini in the My Games directory, but it still isn't working. Am I missing a step?
I found a legendary radroach.

Which mod is it?
Nevermind, apparently it is working suddenly.

[sp]he's in a door to the right when you enter into the main hall of the mind reading building thing. he'll be sitting in a chair looking all sad.[/sp]
So I just came across this...

If you can't quite see, that's a bald settler dude just chilling out near 3 badass supermutant enforcers with miniguns, apparently having a chat with them, atm enforcers got distracted by one of these mosquito enemies and are shooting the shit out of it.
After they killed mosquito they just continued chilling around.
What is going on here? :v:

High charisma, he managed to convince the super mutants that he is one of them.

Shouldn't you technically have 10 STR and 1 INT for that to work? :v:
When does tinker tom give you the ability to upgrade armor? I want to hurry up and get what I need from these people so I can kill them all and be done with it. Really stupid they locked this behind faction loyalty.
Anyone?
This period of a game's release where there's absolutely no info on anything on any wiki and no one answers your questions is way too frustrating.

With high enough Charisma I can convince you my SPECIALs are whatever you want them to be, honey

You know how they say "Too late to explore the Earth, too early to explore the stars?" We're in this game's age of exploration, where everything is new and exciting. Be thankful.
My collection of frames is almost done, I'm running out of places to get them.

Soon I can finally work on customizing them and having a proper collection
I built literally the same building for power armor storage.

So let's talk about the jetpack, and how awesome it is.

But yeah, I'm now sad I made CHR my dump stat. The whole game basically revolves around charisma stat, with settlements mechanics, companions, dialogue options...
You just can't intimidate enemy with high enough strength and badass enough weapon, and I'm greatly missing that! Like, for example (Silver Shroud quest ending spoilers):
[sp][Strength 10] *Takes out FatMan* Shut the fuck up Sinjin, and listen here. Either you free Kent, or you and you pals will become a thin burnt paste on the walls of this room.
Sinjin: And so will you-
[Endurance 10/Power Armor equipped] I can take it.
*Success!*[/sp]
I present a challenge to Trump's own, the Chump Tower!

Sporting a ton of gridlocked beds, some viewing rooms and studies, the Chump Towers prides itself on an understocked bar that atleast has good TV.

Up top are the more important settlement defenses, and my collection has hardly even begun.

And last, probably least, the hero himself, MC Ride.

Yeah it's a little stupid that whether or not they're scared of you is based on CHR, but if done like it was in New Vegas where every stat opened some kind of conversational path it made CHR kinda useless, so balancing that out is tricky I suppose
yay fallout 4 now crashes on launch, I haven't restarted my computer or updated anything woohoo
I just found a duplicate copy of a Grognak comic book. Like, it has the same cover as another Grognak I've found despite being from a completely different location [sp]1. Vault 81[/sp] and [sp]Vault 75[/sp].
0/10 unplayable mess
if you go above 72fps, terminals break.
disabling presetinterval removes the frame cap, so unless you want to be hella fucked, you gotta turn it back to 1
Just set iPresentInterval=0 to get rid of Bethesda's awful engine VSync and use your GPU settings or some other GPU tweaking application like MSI Afterburner to set your FPS cap. I have mine set to 100 and it's perfect. I had it set to 110 and was mostly fine but I got stuck at one terminal so I dropped it to 100 and now I have no issues, the game is perfect.
Does anyone know if there's a use for the [sp]Cybernetic Limb Actuator and Pain Inhibitor that you get by killing Kellogg?[/sp] or should I just sell them? Mid main quest spoilers
You know how they say "Too late to explore the Earth, too early to explore the stars?" We're in this game's age of exploration, where everything is new and exciting. Be thankful.
There's no joy of exploration in a basic feature being locked behind loyalty to a faction I don't want anything to do with.

IIRC in earlier games there were alternative options for characters with high CHR or some other stat depending on context, and that was balanced by CHR checks being generally catch-all types and being all over the place, while other checks existed where they were contextually fitting option for other builds.
Now CHR is OP, or, to be exact, absolutely mandatory to have. I have 3 CHR and I don't get good prices, can't have more caps for quests or more info on them (Like that water draining quest, I still don't know what was that all about. Can anyone carefully spoil that for me?). No settlement trading, and no better endings in quests. Being ugly sucks!

The only thing that made CHR useless was that you could get speech to 100 even if your CHR was 1.
Speech was very strong in New Vegas, in fact I'd argue it was overpowered, as you could talk your way out of some frankly ludicrous situations.
Speech and barter were the best in new vegas. Hardly ever had to kill anyone.
That's still a proper role play experience. They fully voiced the character, there's only so much in that budget.
To be honest, in my experience so far, as much as it might technically be a 'proper role play experience', it's a shit one. I don't see a lot of potential for roleplaying that I would find very satisfying at all, and that's a shame. I'm waiting to get a little further and see if I can't think of something or see if some of the RPers I watch on Youtube bother to tackle it in a way that can provide me some sort of creative inspiration.
But, I dunno, the voice acting is not bad but I still would very much prefer if this game did not have a voiced protagonist.

Yeah, INT certainly helped more in that regard that CHR. I easily maxed out all Skills in New Vegas before reaching the level cap because of my high INT and skill-based perks and calculated use of skill mags, which was honestly kinda lame that I even could do that, cause it made me able to see ALL skill-based speech checks
The pacification perks are making a pal of mine's run mostly non-violent. I think that's REALLY cool.
Holy heck, the [sp]Vault-Tec Rep from the prologue lives in the hotel at Goodneighbor.[/sp]
Minor spoilers.
