Started a new game, got to the part where you have to run to the vault, thought i know i'll run across the bridge towards red rocket, the nuke goes off haha
I started a new game, immediately noclipped through the wall of my house, thought i would explore pre-war boston a bit, and the nuke went off and killed me as soon as i tried to leave town. This fucking game...
Fast travel, entering a building or elevator remedies this.
Not much help when you're in a dungeon.
Assuming Raider's wearing Power Armor seem to spawn every few days, would it be possible to get a semi-constant flux of fusion cores from them?(Based on the fact that I saw someone say you can pickpocket fusion cores from people wearing PAs)
I think I've fucked something, was in the Science! Centre in Diamond City, looted some shit whilst hidden, turn around and suddenly everyone's shooting at me. Run for the door, menu popa up asking where to send piper (no idea why). Manage to escape and fast travel back to sanctuary. Now suddenly piper has turned up an is shooting at me still. Am I fucked? E: slept for 24h now piper is cool again what the fuck
Do you have a save from around when it happened. I tried to follow it legitimately but gave up and tfc'd from when it first flew by to get a rough estimate of where it crashed.
No. I was already busy with a quest and finished it then forgot about it for hours. I remember where it happened, so if need be i will do the agonizing thing and sweep in a grid across the map until i find it.
coc PreWarSanctuaryExt01
For those who wants to explore pre-war Boston mid-game. There's nothing really much from what you see when you normally play it, but you can appreciate the details that went into it.
I like how Curie's sidequest [sp]Connects to a character from the railroad, makes the world feel more solid [/sp]
So for the Nth time are there any other plastic surgeons besides Crocker?
Are there any weapons that fire .308 on full or semi auto?
So I went digging into the data files of Fallout 4, and I stumbled upon this; [t]http://i.imgur.com/lg0c3Gz.png[/t] Would be neat if I could cut them into universal format and make a nice imgur album out of them
I want a poster of them all.
Are there any weapons that fire .308 on full or semi auto?
Combat Rifle (Most versatile weapon in the game ammo-wise)
I know the DPS for this is a joke but I love this rifle too much. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/580197730023931530/EAE5ED14F338C657AF0378558953856050D72D0F/[/t] [vid]http://horobox.co.uk/u/reag/Fallout4%202015-11-15%2011-45-36-122.webm[/vid] Its just so fun to use.
Im guessing then that I have too many unemployed settlers. The weird thing though is that my farm underneath one of the barracks never has anyone tending the crops, everyone just walks around the cooking station. No one even uses it, and I have 3 scavenging stations, but no one actually uses them unless I command them to. Otherwise I have gotten a few of them to hang out in the upper levels by putting chairs and things in there. Also I do indeed have LL rank 2.
Settlers are kinda bugged at night, often if you fast travel they'll either be standing on their beds or just stand around anywere when they should be sleeping, but otherwise they're fine during the day
I know the DPS for this is a joke but I love this rifle too much.
I have a submachine gun with this and it's ridiculously powerful, the damage bonus is 15 regardless of firerate so high firerate weapons get a huge boost in damage
Has anyone ripped the Silver Shroud Radio audio? I listened to one episode but accidentally walked out of the area and it skipped the second.
so far out of all of the visuals and sweetfx configs no one has reduced the amount of bloom or bumped up the shadow detail and distance, everyone is going for the over sharpen, over bloom, luma shit and it just looks ugly
what bloom? + you can increase shadow distance with .ini tweaks
I know the DPS for this is a joke but I love this rifle too much.
Anyone found more than one "X-cel" drug? Are they craftable somehow and I've just missed it? It's fucking amazing
There are two [sp]upstairs in the Concord speakeasy, on the left side of the bed with a skeleton. Might be the speakeasy i can't remember, just look upstairs in all the enterable concord buildings if not[/sp]
I know in my soul that someone is eventually going to make dog power armor. Also are there any cyberdogs in Fallout 4? Just a thought, I haven't seen any.
What's the difference between the combat rifle and assault rifle?
Almost ironically, the assault rifle seems to be best semi-auto while the opposite is true for the combat rifle, unless you change it to .308 that is
So I just remembered a bug I had. I was rescuing a settler from some raiders who had kidnapped him when it happened. We were on our way out and encountered a couple more raiders on the way. As soon as I killed the last one, he was suddenly replaced with a pack brahmin. Like it just popped in out of nowhere, and the raider was gone. It was surreal.
I know the DPS for this is a joke but I love this rifle too much. Its just so fun to use.
I actually use that rifle too, only because this game gives me more 50 cal bullets than I know what to do with. (Unlike every other ammunition) So its my designated fallback weapon
Bit of a rant, but I really miss the the persuasion system from New Vegas. FO3's percentage based system is shoddy, but the rare SPECIAL checks where you just need a certain stat level work well. NV improved on that with its skill/SPECIAL level based system, which is pretty much perfect. You actually require speech or another skill to be at a certain level to pass the check instead of taking a chance with a percentage. It's great how there are multiple solutions too, so for example if you don't have repair 75 for a speech check you might have science 50. Also if your skill isn't high enough you say a different line and NPCs even react to them, like when you tell House he's "chip outta luck". Obviously Bethesda didn't learn from that for FO4 because it's chance based again, except this time instead of written percentages it's a vague easy, medium or hard system that's never fully explained. You're told that higher charisma increases your odds, as does the Lady Killer/Black Widow perk but other than that it's left up in the air. Your character always says the same line and it's just a matter of chance if it works. I don't think the difficulty colour of the check even changes to reflect the percentage because with high Charisma I'm still seeing medium and hard everywhere. It would be nice to know exactly what my odds are, does red still mean hard if I've got Charisma 8 or have I got a 60% chance of it working? Then with high Charisma it's still possible to fail easy checks, which is pretty ridiculous. In fact, there's nothing to stop the player from quicksaving during dialogue and just hitting F9 until they get it right, even with low Charisma. Overall this system's a massive step back, I don't know why anyone thought it was a good idea.
Is there a paint for Power Armor that slathers it in the American Flag? That needs to be thing if it isn't.
Is there any other weapons than the pipe pistol/rifle that use .38? I have so many of the bullets, but all the guns for them have such low DPS. I'm tempted to convert my pipe rile to automatic, but I don't have the automatic perk, but the high level semi-auto perk, so I would loose a tonne of damage doing so.
I'm more intrigued by Codsworth facing down that Deathclaw with what are presumably balls of steel.
Codsworth fucking tank, fear is nothing to him. Hes more eager than me to go running in and kill things, like be just walking around, spot a group of super mutants, decide not worth it. Too late Codsworth already on the war path to fuck shit up.
Man, I love these. They're giving me so many Fallout 1 vibes, it's absolutely awesome. Makes me wanna replay the game and visit Junktown again. ~pictures~ Album link: http://imgur.com/a/Gkawf/all
Jesus, I think I'm gonna have to ask you to upload the other ones if you can. I've been looking for a fallout themed phone background for a while, and one of the ones with the really well done art work would be awesome for the job.
It appears I cannot launch this game anymore. When I hit "Play" on the launcher, it ironically opens another launcher. Forever looping.
It's fucking ridiculous how broken the performance of this game is in the Boston city sometimes. I get frames ranging from 50-60 outside of it, but it's a fucking slideshow inside Boston. It lasts for 5-10 minutes or it just never stops.
Setting shadow distance setting lower can help with this I had bad FPS issues in spots despite perfect FPS on max settings for most of the game. Lowered shadow settings and the sunray settings (which hit performance a TON without much improvement), really smoothed it out for me. Bethesda games are still ultimately relying on inefficient engine tech from the early 2000's, so the kinds of things that were big performance bottlenecks for games back in those days continue to be hard on the engine today.
Anyone having FPS issues like I was, try validating game files and setting shadows to medium. I have a i5-4670k GTX 760 that got 60fps everywhere except the more "city" areas, where it'd drop to an unacceptable 40 and sometimes 35. Now its 60 all the time, sometimes 59, but that's acceptable.
I have a 2500k and 770 and sounds exactly the same to issues that I have. Got godrays on low and shadows on medium (medium shadows look better imo anyway, softer) but hadn't thought to validate files. 2 files needed to validate apparently, wonder if that makes any big change
